(sorry for my bad english) After more than 12 hours watching this course, taking notes and making some modifications to the code, I've finished it. this course is just so easy to understand, and it's all the system explained in a way that you can really learn something and not just rewrite the code from the course. I'll be working on more procedural animations using this system. Thank you so much Nicky.
Fantastic! This comment means the world! Thank you for taking the time to watch and learn from the course -- I'm so happy to hear that you were able to get the end result working! Cheers!
omfg, how in the hell does this video has only 4k views yet. I've already watched the whole tutorial and I'm frankly blown away by how concrete and well-made it is. Incredibly polished and instructional tutorial. I've just started Unity and this is absolutely perfect (kinda daunting too) and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Huge respects for the efforts you've put into this. For the algorithm too ;) Have a nice day!

Hey Nick, I wanted to say thank you for your videos. 4 years ago, I used your videos as a reference to develop my final year project. And it helped a lot. I appreciate that you are making these with an incredible amount of effort. And because of that your videos are seamless. I think I commented during that time too to support the channel. And now I'm doing the same.
i was scrolling through YT for my different problem and out of nowhere this tutorial showed up i wanted to see it very badly but i had another task to do so i gonna add this to my watchlist very excited to see whole tutorial ❤
I’ll share what I make when I’m done - I design large scale interactives for a living. Just scanned the whole course (I like to do that before following a tutorial closely) and this is AMAZING! Would absolutely be down for a cohort based class if you ever decide to go that route.
He is so gifted for teaching, BEST UNITY TUTORIALS. I wish you have the best year upcoming, best health, and best happiness so that you could teach us more :)
really love your videos. Could you make a video on making boss fights in unity with state machines? Been searching for a while and found a few but they seem to be focused on the animator based and some just don't talk about the implementation procedure.
been waiting so long for this! just wondering where you got the animations from? also for some reason when i run the scene after adding the rig builder the model goes into the floor? great video!
I found the answer from a comment on the original video. Apparently an animation controller with at least one animation has to be playing to lift Banana man out of the floor. Not sure why though.
Video looks awesome, was just wondering where to watch the video for the base player controller. I’m not sure if you’re using state machines for the original player controller movement or not, but would love to follow from the base project
Hey there! Thanks for checking this one out! Hope you can come back to it after going through the movement. This video here is probably what you're looking for: ua-cam.com/video/bXNFxQpp2qk/v-deo.html
Thanks for the video, its really good. I just wanted your opinion, if i would make a player movement state machine where would the script taking the input be? Its either in the direct parent of the states or the context but im not sure
Really cool and modular implementation of the state machine. It should be applicable to basically anything right? I have this type of statemachine in mind that handles movement states like idle, walk etc and pose states like crouch, standing and proning simultaneously
Bro I just found out about procedural animation and turns out you posted a video just a day ago, thats insane. Before I finish this video I just wanted to say I have always loved your videos, they have been very helpful
TY for this tutorial but I'm very lost around the 23:30 mark.. when I multi-select the left arm hint and target and click the + in Animation Rigging and choose cube shape, nothing happens, I definitely don't end up with another cube as shown in the video. What's supposed to be happening? I don't know how to proceed.
I figured it out for now. For me, the cubes showed up, but the Rig was in the middle of the map, which my character was not. I just moved the Rig to my character's position and then manually placed the child empties at where they are shown in the video.
I've spent all day on this and I can't for the life of me figure out why I never enter the Search state. I'm permanently stuck in reset state. I don't know if it's my characterController or not but I have the code down exactly.
