Although is true that technology always have change our world and has changed work, so people have to look for new opportunities, the problem now is that is happening faster than ever before. Most people who will lost jobs don´t have the preparation to become other thing. Many people say workers of those fields can learn again, but how a truck worker with 50 years can start all over again? it´s not possible at least not for most of them. So this WILL have a strong impact in jobs and workers, not in specialists but in the most common ones. That´s why the discussion about universal salary is so important right now. Don´t get me wrong, I believe AI is one of the most important and wonderful inventions we have ever had, I´m really excited to see what will happen, but it will arise problems, that´s a fact.
My guess is that it will be a hybrid with human labour. Resulting in more efficiency and customisation and more freedom like only work 30h a week to earn a living.
Data-driven insights are shaping content creation strategies, enabling creators to tailor their work to meet the evolving preferences and expectations of audiences.
Technology may not replace all jobs, but it will certainly make them easier, justifying employers to reduce wages across the board. What was once considered "skilled work" can now be done relatively easily, and that leads to a loss of high paid skilled work everywhere. All the while, productivity remains the same or increases, giving more revenue to the employers, and widening the income inequality gap. Governments worldwide need to address this by raising taxes on the employers and compensating the low wage workers with UBI.
@n1tr0z3n Lost jobs is not a problem, people can be sustained with UBI. The problem in AI is that it probably wouldn't require humans for doing whatever it wants to do.
@n1tr0z3n It doesn't matter how many scenarios we can logically forseen, as far as not a single one can suggest positive outcome for us. As I said, there are no theoretical ways to overcome AGI problem. All thought experiments ends up with disaster. Doesn't matter what reward function we propose, or what we ask AGI to do. Most of them ends up with some variation of paperclip maximizer, and the rest of them turn out to be just useless.
@n1tr0z3n They are actually very developed today. And the field is developing with increadible speed. In fact new breakthroughs happen so often, that AGI could happen in any moment. In fact GPT-3 and DALL-E are quite close to what we can call intelligent beings. They are actually understanding the world and how things work. What we can do? Invest in AI safety research, regularize algorithm development and most importantly: regularize access to high performance hardware. Giving computational power to anybody today is worse then letting anybody to have a nuclear reactor in their garage.
@n1tr0z3n Most likely it will never experience hate. Or any emotions for that matter. You see, emotions are not directly connected to intelligence, often they are rather come across with it. Most likely it wouldn't be necessary for AGI to function. It will destroy humanity without feeling anything at all. The reason it will destroy us is not hate, but rather energy and matter contained in our bodies. It will find reasonable to process us into something "more useful". I didn't said AI would think us equal or to be threat to the nature. AGI wouldn't care about nature or how equal we are, though it all depends on it's reward function. The reward function is the motivation that is pushing an intelligent being to do something. Everything that gives us pleasure is our reward function. And that is what we are trying to do. AI algorithms also need rewards, but usually it is something very simple and primitive, like producing more and more paperclips. If you give such reward function to AGI, it will use it's enormous intelligence capabilities to transform the entire solar sistem into giant paperclip factory.

AI seems a bad name for it. From what I understand it is essentially an iterative process with guidelines so that you get a type of evolutionary approach to whatever you wish to emulate. Not to my mind intelligence as there is no self awareness. The results are pretty awful but I suppose they will improve. The man with the portraits has to sit there and grade the computer's efforts, the program itself cannot yet determine success or failure.
the question isn't whether ai can be creative but has the term creative, has always been misdefine by false assumptions and human arrogance and culture, basically therefore I copy many sources to create a unrecognizable chimera therefore I am creative, or how the most complex things are made out of many simple things repeated over and over again becoming unrecognizable and because it's unrecognizable it's new and different and unique but is it?

AI is an art Itself created by human beings. Artist is human again ahahaha
Or, perhaps it it the other way around? (AI created human)
The time for UBI is coming.
2023 or 2025 bipartisan
wow, can’t help but worry about the impact it might have on human creativity and jobs in the long run 💔😦😦😦😦😦😔😔
Show us first if an AI-created song can surpass the magical Supper's Ready of Genesis lyrically and musically🙂
Art was never prioritized. AI is one of the last steps toward the destruction of art and culture, toward their commoditization and vulgarization.
Some segments in the video are stamped not adjacent to each other
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious🔥
Can AI make a self portrait?
Probably
only a matematician can say that using an algorithm can help us to be more human
Nice video.
I love Holly Herndon
The industries is for humanty for helping A. I to make it happen
AI IS SOMETHING ELSE!!🔥🔥
i might try to make one
the question isn't whether ai can be creative but has the term creative, has always been misdefine by false assumptions and human arrogance and culture, basically therefore I copy many sources to create a unrecognizable chimera therefore I am creative, or how the most complex things are made out of many simple things repeated over and over again becoming unrecognizable and because it's unrecognizable it's new and different and unique but is it?
aight ts is mind blowing than the big bang theory 🤓🤓
A souless world. Keep it for yourselves, nerds!
Soulless? A nerd's soul can be encoded into an AI artist's programming.
@@Iamwolf134 R U C rious ?
@@ulysse21 Dead serious at that. Besides, AI or not, you work on a piece of art, you often put your soul into that work. Coding for AI as an art tool isn't that much different.
This doc would look very different only one year later.
This didn't age well haha. AI art is present and being purchased through sites such as Etsy, Displate, at cons or even directly. Some folks are buying AI art on purpose and some are buying AI art w/o knowing that they are AI. These AI creations are present at multiple cons and steal away income that could've been going to real artists. It def didn't emerge as a collabator but as a competitor. And if not a competitor, companies are using AI instead of real artists (such as wizard of the coast). I've seen this one AI tool being able to take a custom image and a meme and convert it where the custom image is in the meme picture format haha. AI is getting better and there's still no rules/reguattions from preventing AI art to happen
The natural world will always remain the more creative force
now, just a single year later and AI creative tools are growing like mushrooms - it will accelerate
Great. Tired and fed up with modern, abstract "art".
