I only started watching her videos yesterday so I'm not caught up on all of them and I wouldn't presume to know where she lives, but her accent sounds Australian. I'm Aussie and I noticed it in the first video I watched. The vowels are pronounced differently by New Zealanders.

when they almost caught him I was stressed too, even though I didn't like him at all. I think because you only read from his perspective your brain kinda imitates what he would be feeling or something like that. Rather then rooting for him, you are rooting for yourself... if that makes sense (it probably doesn't)

I think that's pretty accurate, since it was written in first person it almost felt like i was the one being interrogated during those scenes.

13:11 I really kind of felt the same thing with the book from Stephen King called *Finders Keepers* because I literally started to root for the killer which kind of frustrated me because at one hand I understood his situation and the things he had done, eventhought it were really bad things, but at the other hand I also was really angry on him and literally hoped that he gets caught by the police.
    (sorry for the bad english)

It's a very good twist to make him so hypocritical though. Think about it: He's invading the private lives of other people by rationalizing his actions, but we're invading his private life and rationalizing it by saying we're reading a book.

i love when books (and other media, like video games and movies) make you side with the villain. i don't usually feel bad about it or anything because i know that it's obviously fictional and no one is actually hurt. sometimes it just makes for a more interesting story when the bad guy wins

Girl I get it!!!! I haven't read this book (although I want to now) this concept made me remember that the manga Death Note made me feel exactly the same way. The main character is essentially a murderer but he justifies it because he only kills criminals. As it goes on he does end up killing innocent people who get in his way but because the story is told from his perspective you really understand him and I know a lot of fans who did LOWKEY want to see him succeed even though you know what he's doing is wrong. Even I felt sympathy for him! It's a really cool concept and I love seeing stories unfold from the villains pov as we don't usually get that a lot.

Ah I love your videos! Tbh if your looking for any recommendations for books I would totally recommend "The Collector" by John Fowles which is also a psychological thriller. It also provides two different perspectives, which is pretty interesting to see the victim of the novel [Miranda Grey] and the man who kidnaps her [Frederick Clegg] and his warped point of view.If you do read this I think it'd be interesting to hear your thoughts!

One of my favorite books 'Forging Haephestus' by Drew Hayes is about a woman who is apprenticing to join a guild of super-villains. You can't help but root for her to escape from the capes during her trial. She commits crime with no real thought except how much money she will have to build or upgrade her suit.
