- This video explains the basic fundamentals behind how to turkey hunt using the hear and stalk method. An owl call is the best way to accomplish this and it's extremely fun to do. Towards the end of the video there is an instructional on how to use the Primos Hoot Flute and the same "Who cooks for you, who cooks for y'all" saying can be applied to other brands of owl calls as well. GIVE THIS METHOD A TRY! It's absolutely the most fun way to turkey hunt. Please consider supporting the channel by subscribing! Thank you
Oh cool I didn't know that and I've never seen my husband hunt that way either. We will definitely try it thanks
Awesome I'm glad to hear it. Please let me know how it works for you guys
Just ordered it I have a place outside of Hot Springs NC and I see turkeys all the time. Should be fun to talk to them.😂
That camo is pretty good. I almost didn’t see you in that bush. Lol
salba1013 A turkeys biggest weapon is their eyes. The camo has to be on point or they will bust you every time
Sounds like a model train whistle.
You can also make a purring noise at the end my making a rattling noise with the back of your throat.
Good point that definitely adds to the sound too
This may sound dumb but, what is the purpose of the 3 holes if you have to remember to cover them?
That's not dumb that's actually a great question. So you don't actually have to cover all 3 holes but I've personally found that that's by far the best way to do it. There are also other sounds an owl makes and you can mimic more of those sounds by using those holes
@@ScottBonnerOutdoors Awesome! Thank you for the info. Definitely sounds like an interesting way to hunt turkey.
Different tones
That's the worst call
@@capttbone11421 sounds like crap lol but hey if it actually works for 8$ can't go wrong lol!
It's still pretty much the same thing but I've always "heard who feeds you, who feeds you all"
Sounds like a kazoo from PartyCity
Hi I have a question, how long dose it mostly take to get a turky to hear you and speak to you?(sorry if I sound stupid,I just got the owl flute and I really wanted to know how long you have to wate.)
You don’t sound stupid. They are usually pretty responsive but it depends on the woods. If the owls are going crazy responding back and forth to you usually a turkey will get involved pretty quickly
@@ScottBonnerOutdoors ok thanks for telling me,it really means allot to me.
Good question
How long should i wait before using the call again if i dont hear anything?
About 10 minutes stop after about 5 times
@@Braydonhedden17 thanks
Its funner
it's not just funner, it's more funner
Not to many people know this info??? Really….
Correct a lot of people don’t know this
Too much talking
Thanks
Not a very good call
That’s not what the turkeys said
@@ScottBonnerOutdoors I had to modify it to work. Must have got a bad one.
