  • Hey Everyone! Today, we continue our Behind the Scenes series with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This is the fourth film in the series.

    1. The new Director, Mike Newell, was approached earlier when looking for a director for the first film, but he had to pass due to being connected to another project at the same time.
    2. Due to the size of the book, there was a thought that this movie could have been split in two, but ultimately, it was decided to focus on the driving part of the story and make one film.
    3. For the Tri-Wizard Welcome Feast, set decorators chose a chocolate dessert theme. There were over 1,000 chocolate mice and 64 sets of rabbits inside top hats. Several cakes and ice cream stands were made with molds.
    4. "Harry, did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?" was Gambon's way of showing that, for the first time, he was not in control; he was frightened and panicking.
    5. Director Mike Newell cracked one of his ribs when helping Oliver Phelps, who played George Weasley, learn how to stage fight for the scene where Fred and George fight after putting their names in the Goblet of Fire...

      I love searching for footage! There’s got to be hours that have never been released in bonus features or interviews. I would LOVE to get my hands on it. Not even for making videos on here, but because watching behind the scenes moments puts a smile on my face.

      @@CassandraMars ☺️ Same here! I love seeing them joking around and showing their personalities. It’s so much fun to see Maggie Smith and Alan Rickman with a smile and messing around because they’re always portrayed so stern and serious. Always fun as well to see Tom Felton being friends with the group. They’re all just so cute as kids, it’s hard not to smile at their quirkiness.
