Therefore, the puppet Shogun has no clue who he is before nor after the erasure. Another small thing is that when he tried to visit Ei, he unknowingly met the Shogun instead, who turned him away. This is also important to understand when it comes to why he feels that he is completely neglected- because the Shogun had no clue who he was from the start.

The only difference they have is that, Shinobu hides her anger through her smiles and kind of developed Kanae's personality, while Raiden became cold, and doesn't show lots of emotions, maybe sometimes but mostly just a straight face.
