Why do you use two pieces, sewn together, to make the straps? Seems like an additional step when you could just cut one strip to the correct width to sandwich the foam between.
On my directions for the bag, it says to cut 3 strips for the 2 3/4 by WOF for the straps. In your video you say 2. I've already cut my pieces but I'm short on lining fabric.

Hi Mickie! We use two strips so that both sides of the strap are exactly the same, Although, you definitely could use just one piece of fabric.

I was able to use some of the other fabric to piece it and make it the right size. It’s kind of nice looking. Thanks though.
