I’m still a little iffy on the fender situation. Once I put the solo seat on I’ll have to redo the fender again anyways. Should I make a temporary one for now, or just wait for the new seat? Also best of luck on your bike.
I think with what you're doing you might as well cut the parts off at the back, unless it somehow works for whatever Fender solution you end up going with. It's cool to see how much of a look changes from lowering it though. I'm cutting my stock fender down a bit to follow the line of those chrome bits. ( Which I just have with a Carbon Fiber wrap because I'm trying to get rid of the chrome )
Much appreciated. Going to try it with the fender. I’ll see if I can mount it without the black bracketsin a clean looking way maybe too the seat. If I can, I’ll start chopping!
I bough progressive shocks. If you search for 11” VF750 shock you should find them for sale on eBay or Amazon. Still use them, still like them. I got rid of the fender since I’m currently working on installing a single sided wing arm from VFR800. Hope this helps.
@@dylanreynolds4899 If you’re unsure, get a cheap plastic fender you can cut to shape to see what you like. Then get a metal bobber fender for a Honda shadow. That’s my plan for it.
The ones I bought were a brands call MPOI. Manufacturer number SH-105BHFXDWG10 if this helps. They bolted straight up. After a year of driving. They ride great. A lot stiffer. And I recommend shortening the front as well.
I WAS LOOKING FOR A METAL FENDER AND A TRIUMPH TAIL LIGHT,.....i WOULD NEVER SCREW WITH THE HANDELING,....LOWERING IT COULD RUIN THE TRACKING AND balance,...You might go around a corner and where something touches the road it spins off the road. Or you go around the corner and crack the throttle and the centrifical force of the engine cracks your head on the pavement. I guess people will do what they want,...to make a bobber, or scrambler that's not me,... I'm more vintage.
I was fully aware of the cause and effects of doing this to my bike. But this is a bike a never plan on selling and wanted to do and learn everything I could on it. Any information people comment I always try to retain for the future well, so I appreciate it. Everything is a learning experience.
@@grimsventure4439 Well its your bike to do with what you want,.....people do it all of the time different people like different styles of bikes and it ain't like they would ever sell the bike you want new.
0:28 - Mine comes loose too, found it down the other end of the cable doing nothing the other day 😆 Must be a Magna thing
Will be interesting to see how yours end up looking! I just lowered mine front and back, currently in the process of cutting the stock fender :)
