Also, I love the visual assistance cue for eating. If I could thumbs up that part in particular, as well as the whole video I would do it twice 😂😂

Great trick. I use my source bladder hanging on a tree or similar for washing hands and stuff. Great Video as always, the intro is every time a pleasure. Cheers Julius

It's all these little "why didn't I think of that" tricks that make the outdoors feel like home.

I've done this with both metal and basic disposable plastic water bottles. I find if I'm using soap, I like the basic water battle best because you can prop it so you can squeeze your thighs to make the water come out when you want and release tension when you don't want any water to come out. I normally have a 1ltr plastic water bottle in my pack for this use but mainly because it works with so many water filters.

I was strugling with the same problem and came up with an idea to make hand washer out of plastic jerrycan. Pretty cool for home and outdoor usage. If anything, you can check it out on my channel.

This is an old survival trick that the Royal Marines have used for many years sorry buddy if you add some para cord to the bottom of the bottle and hang it vertically the water spews out all around the stopper and more than one person can use it. I believe that it also dependant on the distance between the threads on your stopper, the wider apart they are the better it is, if I get chance Ill do a quick video to test a couple of bottles that we have but its a great idea to share.

    • @MrTangent

Nope. It will cause your hands to ignite on fire. Never attempt with clay on your hands, unfortunately.

New subscriber here. Great videos! I hate to be negative Nancy but can I make 2 requests? Its weird to be called a turtle…can this be changed? Just a request. Also, the sounds in this video are tough to listen to for people like me. The sound of the water coming out of the bottle and the sound of you making the eating sound with your mouth. Its brutal haha. Sorry…again….just a request.

I have been honest with you. I've been watching your videos for years. I like them but there is one thing that drive me nuts. I can't stand when you call the viewers "Turtles". Take it as you will.

Active Self Protection channel calls us ASPers (or "Cover Your ASP"), which is corny. But it's just them trying to connect with the audience and give it a personal feel. I don't mind. Could be worse, he could call us Fuckface or something. :P

I like it. Makes me feel like I'm a kid at camp, or one of his buddies. :-D And when he didn't say, "later, turtles" at the end like usual, I was kinda sad.
