    Looks like a pretty solid rig. I've been eager to check out the Edelrid saddle as well. So far, buy a long shot, the Monkey Beaver harness has been my favorite. August has done a really good job on it, and the new 2.0 is even better than the last.

    Love your vids, and I’ve bought plenty from your reviews….1000s of dollars
    And to the suppliers, Bino responds to his followers. He determined what I now own. Likely 6K$ in 2022…just a FYI !

    Man this really is a nice daddle!
    Hey Bino do you have a video of a bucket operator repelling out of a broke down bucket truck safely?
    I've recently had one blow a hose so I fixed that and then next time I got a chance to use it the hydraulics just stopped working. I was fixing to go down and refuel my saw.
    Luckily we had a 40 ft ladder handy and some tree climbing friends to help get me out of it. The first time I was just 15ft high the 2nd time I was 35 feet. The 40 ft ladder just barely reached the bucket.
    I've started keeping enough rope on the bucket to get down now but still not sure the safest way to get past the bucket and descend on the rope.

    Bino,
    Thanks for the review. I'm not seeing a lot of advantages over say a lower model like the Buckingham master 5.0 saddle, and it's hard to stomach the price at $680 msrp with the competition offering alot more. And yeah, the lack of dorsal harness mounting D ring or lifesupport straps in back is a downside too.

    • @BinoH
      @BinoH  Рік тому +3

      They added a gap were you can use a Y strap so it's still capable to use as fall protection.

    Thank you Bino for this review as I am shopping for a saddle for my wife who is the captain for my ground crew and who REALLY wants to get into the canopy like I do as the climber. This Buckingham Navigator is similar in many ways to my Petzl Sequoia SRT, although I believe my Sequoia SRT seems to be a better buy for my wife as there is no velcro to clog up plus my waist adjusters is not connected via a Cobra belt connector, which if the stars align could come loose in unusual circumstances (because = Murphy). Again, great review but I think I will buy her a Petzl Sequoia SRT like I have because mine is bullet proof. (Edited to correct typos as my thumbs often hit the wrong letters on my iPhone keyboard - (seriously though, which tiny thumbed soy boy was used to designate the size of letter ‘buttons’ on iPhones?)

    Bino sorry to say this here to you. I have tried to order the navigator, I am in Canada, it has not gone well. I ordered directly from Buckingham Manufacturing as you posted for your link and discount code. There has been nothing but problems and more and more fees. I have cancelled my order. Just finally picked one up and realized, there isn’t a huge difference in tree saddles. Mainly attachments. The monkey beaver has the attachment points and padding I was missing. I got by without it for years but I will enjoy it. Even tho it’s better, it still was hard to switch. My old one had some strengths too. But lack of padding and accessory hooks
