Tel Aviv is my absolute favorite city in the world. Love it here and hope to make it my permanent home one day (hopefully i get rich enough) The shekel is a pretty solid currency and Israel has a strong economy. The reason everything is extremely expensive is because Tel Aviv is currently the most expensive city on the planet according to Forbes and many other indexes. The cost of living in Tel Aviv is currently the highest in the world. I dont recall ever getting a decent cup of latte or americano for under 14 NIS or 4.25 USD For reference its about 3.3 NIS to 1 USD
As an Israeli, I am so happy that you had an empowering and fascinating experience in Israel and Palestine. The conflict is indeed complex, and I hope that one day our peoples will live side by side and share this amazing land.

You guys are great. I visited Israel, for the first time, this past April.
