- We are going to learn how to successfully link a domain name to an application running on the ec2 instance using Route 53.
Amazon Route 53, part of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing platform from Amazon.com normally referred to as AWS Route 53, is a highly available, scalable Domain Name System (DNS) service.
It is designed for developers and corporates to route the end users to Internet applications by translating human readable names like www.mydomain.com, into the numeric IP addresses like 192.0.2.1 that computers use to connect to each other.

Hello, can I use a sub-domain in namecheap? Would it work? I tried it, but I am having issues with the nameserver, because there is no way to go directly into the sub-domina and use the name servers from route 53 records
good one

Thank you so much 🤩🤩
Amazing, thank you so much!
Great video, helped me a lot!
Another great video
Thank you so muchhhhh 🤩 i really try as much as possible to give the best content with the limited amount of resources i have 🤩
Interesting video! I have a domain name, that I bound to an EC2 instance in past. Now this instance is dead, and I am trying to re-bind name to an another EC2. It is not so easy - there are lots of menus and buttons .As I understand - the essential is the button "Value/Route traffic to" (title of a column in a table) - when you edit or create domain record. You must write there an IP of your reverse proxy server or simple server .
Thanks very much, well explained
Thank you, this was perfect!
You are most welcome
I was like "I'm a pro! What am I missing?!" But I see the hosted zone Name Servers are different from the "Registered Domain" Name Servers
thank you sir very useful
I have tried this and mine still doesn't work. "Safari can't connect to the server"
great video, well explained : good work !
Comprehensive video. In my case, I will like to connect several ec2 instance with subdomains from my namecheap domain. Can you share information on how to do that?
Wonderful, i think that would be a great video concept , i've done it before in some of my project , so not too commplicted.

Hey I',m having a hostgator domain and I entered all the 4 url's in the custom domain option, do you have any idea about why is it not directing the traffic to the public ip?
great tutorial!
I try to do the same thing in GoDaddy. But I can't change nameserver on GoDaddy :(
Thank you for this tutorial, helped me so much!! But i have a problem, my domain register woudnt allow me to add org. ( point at the end ). only without . is this ok ?
Hi , i'm not surprised , i don't think its possible , at least I've never seen it happen
Thank you for informative video. Can you explain how to handle an issue that after instance restart it will have another, new dynamic IP address. Should I change this settings every time after restart or amazon will rewrite it by itself?
I guess you should use a load balancer with auto scaling that way you only need to point to the load balancer and your load balancer can point to any ip
Thnx@@veraochiche9177
I think you need to attach a elastic ip so that your ec2 public ip address wont change after the instance restart
what if i got a domain name from route 53
Great video, well done. Can you make the app secured (https) please? Thank you.
Did you find the solution? Making the website secure
