This contestant had one of the most clear, strong and healthy voices on top of that sang an ORIGINAL SONG . her runs were also flawless. the fact that katie said no and got a “gamble” to move forward is actually unbelievable to me this was one of my best auditions and i wish her the best . the judges are crazy lol

*As for getting far, that rarely ever happens when even one judge is on the fence and they all say yes. Here, two were on the fence and only two said yes. She may not even get to the round with fans

I saw Yoli for the first time at the Miami Flea and was captivated. I tried to catch her sets around town for the next few years because she's THAT GOOD! Voice of an angel. I hope she goes far!

Katy totally missed this one. She's usually spot on I can't believe how far off she is on this one. This girl can win this contest. This is the first time I've ever heard her sing and she is going to go very far.

She did amazing on Americas Got Talent a few years ago, really wished she could’ve gotten further on that show. I think a mistake was made when they sent her home. Glad to see she’s still giving it a shot cause she has an awesome voice!

If you pay attention to Katy's reaction, facial expression, the moment she saw this young lady, it was pretty obvious she was gonna be a "no". I haven't noticed vibes like that from Katy before.
I like Katy Perry (well, some of her music anyway) but I've noticed she tends to do this with women, mostly. Not sure why..but..she does. And like someone above said, you can usually tell by her face that she doesn't like someone, even before they start singing. Not sure what her deal is!

It felt more like she was a tiny bit in the wrong head space to hear an audition and really didn’t give her a fair shake. Yoli has been great for a very long time, this isn’t her first go round.

It was kinda one mood the whole time. I rly agree with Katy. There coulda been more variation in dynamics. Her voice sounded great, but it has to be able to perform at multiple registers and multiple moods. That's what the audition is supposed to showcase, unless they have an original song too.

I really like this girl… And even though Katy didn't get it I did understand what she was saying about going soft and going loud it does provide more texture but I'm really glad that Yoli gets to go to Hollywood

This girl is the moment! I’m surprised Katy said no! She is the artist to beat in my opinion. She knows herself and what she brings to the table. Knowing her, I know she has every tool in the book! Dynamics, runs, rasp, tone, etc. More important than that, she captivated the room from the first note. She’s a star, and I cannot wait to see the moments she creates on the show!

And when I think on it more, the original song had a whole part that was kinda like just talking (with some vibrato) and to me that was dynamic. It was a chill moment before the chorus burst again. So, yeah, idk. Sometimes I don’t vibe with Katy.
