I watched this video hoping to understand how to attach the center front of band for new look 6605 which is a similar tunic only gathered in the front but it looks like yours is different

It’s a little hard to follow the tutorial on such a busy patterned fabric. A little more instruction/explanation would have been helpful. Sometimes it’s as though she is just reading the instructions.
