The only thing stopping Filipinos from fully embracing PPop (Pinoy popular music) is the suspicion na "gaya-gaya (sila) sa Kpop." Mga kababayan, it's only the form - the training, the terms - that was used BUT the CONCEPT, the content, the songs, the fits, EVERYTHING ELSE draws from Filipino culture. ALAMAT is as Filipino as it gets. AND THEIR DISCOGRAPHY is truly one of the BEST in recent times. PPop is OPM and we should pay more attention to acts like ALAMAT. SILA AY TAYO. PINOY. MAGALING. WORLD CLASS.

Actually, I've observed that upcoming PPOP groups or other PPOP groups kept on using KPOP songs on their events etc. I have nothing against KPOP. It's just that we want nga to break away from the "gaya gaya" at "KPOP yan sila" of casuals. So people get confused. So pati ibang groups na ini establish ang PPOP by showcasing their music ay na lilabel na rin. Like people don't give them a chance na.
Hope upcoming PPOP groups can use materials na OPM. Para ma establish nila group nila as a PPOP group at ma condition rin mga tao na makakapanood sa kanila.

So yun nga mga nakita ko sa ibang upcoming PPOP groups na KPOP ang material sa mall shows, if front act sila ng artist etc... Kaya yung mga casuals get confused if they're a Kpop group or what.

Yung mababang 2nd voice nawawala sa tono, magaling sana sila at maganda ung kanta. Kapag di ka sure kantahin mo n lng ung melody.
Mejo bago bago palang akong fan at di ko pa masyado recognize mga timbre nila. This raw performance shows who are the ones who sang my fav parts hahaha. Nagstandout talaga sa akin si Blasian King Mo. Yung adlibs na mixed voice, ung 'psh' sa bridge, tas yung low notes second voice with Taneo. Yung vocals din ni Thomas sa last chorus ugh. Gagaling!

Ang nasal pakinggan pag nakaangat yung index finger sa mic ni Alas and Taneo. Medyo off putting kasi nadidistort yung mas pleasant na sound. Ganda ng song.
Minsan quality ng mic affects the quality ng vocals. Tapos mixing pa. Maganda sana ang harmonization nila Dito kung may right mixing lang ng mga boses nila.

I’m here after watching SB19, especially Felip, dance to 'Maharani.' I wanted to hear them live. I've been a casual listener of Alamat, and to be fair, I've always enjoyed their music-easy to listen to with great lyrics and beats. I mainly listen to SB19 and sometimes G22, but I might add Alamat to my playlist now.
