- Took my new 899 Panigale out for its inaugural track day at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA! It was so great to be back on track after a several-year hiatus from truly pushing a bike at the track.

As you say trying to transition the throttle mid corner without the Spacers (on again off again) just upsets the bike so much. 👍

Nice man, glad you had a good day back on track! as i said before my buddy on his Pan V4s said the spacers made a huge diff for him, im waiting for mine to arrive ;) looking fwd to feeling it on the Monster. guessing it makes you appreciate the Moto GP boys running races in extreme temps!! nuts, "thats not going anywhere" lol most common line for us guys :P cheers and be safe! oh and those 360cams are legit

Do you experience the Ducati EBC/Engine Braking throwing you forward and sliding forward on your seat when you let off the throttle? I have an 899 and that's my biggest gripe with the bike...before each corner I find myself pushing off the bars to slide back on the seat and into position. I have the EBC set to "3" the lowest interference and I still feel like someone is slamming on the brakes each time i just let off the gas.
The engine braking at level 3 feels pretty minimal to me, but it will always be more on a big V-twin as compared to 4-cyl bikes, etc. They just have inherently much more inertia with the bigger cylinders. Best advice I can give you is to always be gripping the tank hard the second you let off the gas- especially if you're riding at the track, you should expect to be thrown forward violently as you should immediately be on the brakes!
Would you please do a heat shield install video for the V2. The instructions that come with the kit are 959 specific. The V2 is a little different. Alone with the video, maybe a supplement to the included instructions? Just a suggestion. But really looking forward to the video. 👍👍
We’re planning to release a V2 specific kit with instructions! The current 899/959 kit isn’t quite compatible, as the seat pieces are totally different.
what 360 cam are you using and where is it mounted?
Insta360 One R, mounted to a RAM mount on the triple.
