Dude spends his life collecting these rare gems that will only go up in value with time. Upon his demise, his daughters can't wait to sell everything versus transferring ownership to their descendants. Proceeds are probably going to New handbags, shoes and other things that only depreciate in value over time.
I’ve always found commissions selling very interesting. Especially accounting portion of it. Were you have to pay taxes in show all that kind of stuff but great video.
Woah! My 82 yr old father recently entrusted me with his childhood coin collection. It's not that big. He just tried saving things like buffalo nickels, mercury dimes, silver "walking liberty dollars", Indian head pennies, etc. I've yet to delve into looking them all up...but after 1/2 hr looking at prices in the big red book , I just figured it was worthless. They are all so worn. I'll do more research this winter. I also got his stamp collection. I LOVE philately ( I've watched every noble spirit video....but all his stamps are common. I just enjoy learning about them , though. Stamp collecting is very therapeutic for me. Thanks for your videos.
All the silver is worth over 20x face value right now. Each $1.40 face is 1 troy ounce of silver. So even if they're worn smooth they still hold silver value.
and he already had 250 dollar fv for like 5k and than all those 1oz rounds wich do sell for a big premium those people are not told the truth😬 i understand a dealer or whatever cant pay the max or promise the max full retail but a bit better would be nice to see 🤷🏼♂️
Hope you’re enjoying the video! This was a consignment, not a purchase, definitely tune in to part 2 to see the prices realized on everything. The video was recorded 2023, so the spot values are a bit different.
I don’t understand why you’re not in the habit of testing every coin, that machine is over $1000 use it. If you say you’re too busy I think that’s just an excuse and laziness. If the chokehold on the silver price ever goes away and silver rises in price there will be many many more counterfeits. I would never buy from a dealer that doesn’t test every coin. Other than that great content and thanks for sharing.
Very underrated channel i love it 😀
