- This ain’t no Disneyland fool. Most the time when you think about Fort Walton Beach I might see yourself near beach houses or a nice little community. But like any city of size it’s going to have hoods. We try to find the hood and worst parts to give you a realistic understanding of what the average person here is living not just I’m on the beach but in the neighborhoods.
I love this place. I've traveled this country a lot and lived a lot of places but fwb area was one of the best. Lived there for two years and moved away to try new places for a bit but I'm going back again for good.
I’m 24, I grew up in Ft walton and live up north now. I constantly watch UA-cam videos of ft walton probably weekly because I miss it. But always on the beach side, FINALLY I got to see my old apartments and streets in a video 😂😂😂😂😂😂

This is where I started at 17 on my own. Got my first apartment on Wright Ave been homeless had ups and downs tattoos and walked every where I could bought my first car here on my own, graduated school here on my own and wouldn't trade it for nothin.. 850 💪

Man this reminds me of West Palm back in 1980. I lived in so may trailer parks and had so much fun because we all for the most part helped each other out. Good times.

I used to live in Fort Walton Bch I have not been back in quite awhile. I know I lived off of Racetrack Rd. A friend told me I wouldn't recognize it now. I guess I should go check it out. One road we would drive down a lot was Beal Parkway and the other street was Eglin Parkway On the other side of the base was Niceville. Those are the places I remember.

Was born in Ft. Walton in 1958 and lived there until I moved to Pensacola in1986. The trailer park you showed off Racetrack Road was there when I was a little girl. All of the nice houses around the trailer park areas are newer and just built around them hence the variations in housing. Ft. Walton is in Okaloosa County not Walton as the woman in the video states.

@@813SouthI used to live in Panama City and delivered pizzas and we had a few neighborhoods we couldn’t deliver after dark, and one apartment complex we couldn’t deliver at all.

I hated everything about that town. The people are shit, the weather sucks, and the cockroaches are all over the place.
Some of the worst 3 months of my life.

U stopped at at 4:30 and the street after I grew up in I live in pompano now broward county That area of bob sites and Gibson off racetrack and acron street was my stomping grounds for years not much has changed but that is a very high crime rate area for for Walton beach lot of drug trafficking prostitution gangs But it's all what you make it if you're a good person and you have morals are values you ain't got none to worry about but if you out there and them streets that shit gets gotta quit

It's their wannabe hood - we summered in FWB growing up - went first 2 years of college in Val P and worked in Destin during summers in College - It's not a rough area at all - just working class - They do get a lot of crazy drifters coming through and serial killers - always have - its not a tough place at all - it's just a military town
