I hate this theory so much. This one and the Chilli & Pat Theory is most likely just people trying to leap to bad conclusions about cartoon families because they're so miserable in their own lives. I do not in a million years believe that there's any cheating going on between Bandit and Chilli. I mean there's a number of episodes that show them being really affectionate and loving and supporting each other through and through. My parents are happily married and they have other male and female friends. In Ireland, where I'm from, it's normal to have a platonic male and female friendship.

New theory to explain the Bandit and Wendy thing;
The two of them lived close to each other when they were kids and Wendy had an older sister who dated Rad so Wendy and Bandit basically had to spend time together for theirs siblings sakes. That's why they're so casual when it comes to Bandit headslaming Wendy's butt and Wendy just cutting his hair and popping in sometimes. Much nicer theory!

@@Magulousmous As someone who went through drama class as one of the few boys in the class, I feel this so much. The only way to be fully excepted was to push past everybody's opinions on me and do what the girls did for fun, which made everyone call me gay. By the end though I made lots of friends for a decent while so I think it was worth it, just people need to learn that men and women can be friends to without dating or anything
I agree. What do people have against a wholesome family show with a nice, standard nuclear family with loving parents and children. This is people trying to make a name for themselves. Bluey has already explored different family dynamics, like divorced parents through Winton and Judo, single parents like the Terriers' mum, infertility and/or miscarriages through Chilli and Brandy, stepfamilies or foster family through Missy and her mum, etc. Plus, Joe Brumm based Bandit on himself a lot, he's obviously not going to do a cheating storyline. I think the closest thing he's gotten to an infidelity storyline is through Frisky and Bosco, and that was offscreen before "Double Babysitter".
I really appreciate how comfortable of friends the healers are with their neighbors, I know for a fact that it’s just them all goofing off together, especially for the kid’s sake
OK that is my theory too. People are still stuck in the mindset that men and women just can't be friends. SO, every interaction is "obviously" flirting or cheating somehow. Even when it is not true. (( Is this why adults are so lonely as they get older and older? They just won't allow themselves to make friends with anyone))

I’ve always seen bandit and Wendy as childhood friends. The comfortability, the way bandit messes with her in an effort to offend or annoy her, I’ve always seen their relationship in a friends-so-close-they’re-like-siblings way. Chili’s reaction to Wendy cutting bandits hair kind of gives the same vibe as Wendy having cut bandits hair before, but the haircut didn’t turn out so good in the past XD

I AM TELLING YOU! There is no way Chilli or Bandit will ever cheat on each other! Sure there are some episodes where people might come up with a bunch of theories where Bandit or Chilli cheat on each other, but there is only a few of those episodes. But most of the Bluey episodes show the love and amazing and strong chemistry between the two! Bandit and Chilli forever! Even the surprise episode shows Chilli and Bandit still together still loving each other which just makes me so happy! Bandit and Chilli are perfect for each other!

I actually love Wendy she's one of my favorite adult characters and i love how like Pat she's use to the families games to the point its second nature to get involved occasionally my favorite Wendy moment is "That will not happen TWICE."
I've got a theory. I think Frank was one of the 101 dalmatians. He moved to Australia to be more distinct from his large family, and thus embraced Aussie life and culture.

Ok that would mean Bandit and Janelle, but it could be a swinger neighborhood or closed polycule. All the persons involved have great affection for one another, and maintain their marriages, but also have open flirty interactions and very occasional intimacy. Occasional because now there are kids.
It's not perfect, but it's also not dark, has affection, and is mutually consensual.

While I don't buy the cheating theory, I do partially subscribe to the "Bandit moved out theory". That a little while after Bingo was born. The 2 of them had a rough patch, which ended in bandit moving out for a while. And ending with them getting back together at the start of the series. It explains why he needed an address updated in "dance mode" and why Bluey seemed very upset in "post man".

Bandit being so obviously besotted with Chilli might even be *why* Wendy's okay with him being maybe a little 'overfamiliar' - he's definitely not coming onto her so she doesn't have to second guess their interactions. She can just let herself be silly with her daughter's friend's family next door.
(And even if he *does* think she's attractive, there's a *big* difference between noticing that and wanting to act on it.)
A better question is, what happened with Wendy and her ex-husband? Did her ex-husband cheat on her and have Casper (mentioned in "Butterflies") with another woman. Since Judo is the same age as Bluey, wouldn't Wendy also understand the idea of playing with your kids all the time and committing to it. Why is she so annoyed by Bandit's presence early on when she has a 6 year old daughter too, but, yet she's a good friend to Chilli? Is it possible Wendy is annoyed at him because it's an all too painful reminder that her husband cheated on her with another woman? In Season 3, Wendy seems to have overcome her divorce at that point and she actually likes Bandit.

I never came to this conclusion when watching those episodes. In Sheepdog I thought Bandit was doing what he always does and taking play a little too seriously. Rragdoll comment I think I’d be hard not to notice someone’s quads if they were lifting you up like that. And finally for the haircut one you can think someone new haircut is cute without being into them.
Vis a vis Ragdoll: *Especially* since Wendy usually comes across as very stuffy and posh. I, too, would be pretty surprised to discover she was in fact jacked this whole time.
Also if that were meant to be read uh... "flirtatiously", I don't think he would have preceded it with "watch the hands".

I have been waiting for this to come up. Bandit just.... is too friendly with Wendy. He comments on her legs when she squats him in... whatever that episode that he goes limp and they get ice cream. He also is like.... oddly embarrassed around her in the beginning of the show, but he isn't later on. And he does make weird comments at her.
I love B as much as the next guy, but I couldn't have been the only one to see this.
There probably is some sort of story to this, and if there isn’t, just remember this is a kids show! Not like a serious show or in a world with humans, The bluey world. So. The anthro doggies have their own universe. Laws work differently in the bluey world, and since this is a kids show, it doesn’t always have to make sense ^^
This theory (along with Chili and Pat) is probably the most “he was a boy, she was a girl” thing ever. Bandit and Wendy are friends that live in close proximity and interact and now people assume that they’re dating when they’re clearly not

Naw, not possible! Guy and girl friendships are totally possible with out something being there! My guy/girl friendships look a lot like Bandit and Wendy’s. Maybe not so much, cause I’m the only one with kids lol. But there doesn’t need to be cheating on a KIDS show, so I’m on the same side as Aussiegirl here.

This is an interesting thought, yes Bandit loves Chilli first and foremost (well maybe even his kids more but it is so close).
Based on my understanding of Australian culture, divorce rates are lower in Australia, probably because as you mentioned "friendships" between opposite gender peer groups are more acceptable - we see this throughout Bluey's events. So I'd rely more on that than any speculation..
USA has a much higher divorce rate and infidelity is the second highest factor, so its common for folks to project their fears in such a thing but again a kids shows made in Australia, would probably follow more Australia norms.

You can argue that ideas like this stem from a lack of healthy relationships in popular media ( *or, God forbid, fAnDOm bAd* ), but honestly, *it's just funny* to imagine everyone in the Heeler neighbourhood are _absolute freaks_ behind the scenes. Ive never had an affair before so maybe I just dont know what I'm talking about, but I feel like if I were, I would go out of my way to avoid the other person in public rather than planting all these little hints and flirting in front of my kids
My explanation for this is that they’re dog people and dogs are simply playful animals that make physical contact together a lot when they play. And they’re cartoons so things they do are exaggerated/unrealistic to a degree

I think that the "men and women can't be friends" are less dependent on the country, especially in the US. I think that it has a lot more to do with individuals, and their personal feelings on the matter
So ive looked at this having not watched bluey (might get around to it) but also means i can see it without love of characters influencing me, i dont believe Bandit wants an affair with Wendy. But Wendy is animated in such a way it does look like shes flirting. How she poses after her hair cut... the eyes shes making at him and the pose shes sat in. The way she put something on his nose... yeah...
Bandit doesnt make any flirting expressions, a few smug so i see it as he views him platonicaly but i dont think she does, and if she actually does...
