The more they play together, the more confidence and belief they have in each other. That's all that counts. Chemistry. Great finish - that was Krejci like timing, threading the needle on that third goal The connection and awareness between Brad and Marc builds confidence within their game. strong links & connectikns, knowing where each other is on the ice- will extend throughout the team. Go B's 🐻
they're playing better than they actually are and that is what we're looking for. Doesn't seem they think believe they're better than they are. They know their limitations. Pasta's standard operating procedure wasn't working - so he did a wrap around the other night. That's rare for him. They know what's not working, trying other stuff. They know what's not getting through. I have less caution on my optimism than I had prior to this game Play smarter not harder means playing bigger and faster than you actually are. We expect Pasta to be an OT sniper. That was awesome. Yet the goal I see as promising was the awareness and connected vision of the third goal marchand taking control of the play, almost a Krejci fashion. threading that puck to McLaughlin, while Marc's skating through 4 flames then gets past the 5th. 🔥🥅 You're right, that's the type of grit we need to see. I think we'll see more of it. They now have muscle memory. I find this encouraging for something like the power play We don't expect wahlstrom to be a two-way player But I'm looking forward to this type of connection clicking and Ollie's potential creativity, might be just enough to spice up the PP I see building blocks toward the power play, employing role players, more than two-way players. Look at how many points we leave on the table because of our power play Capitalize on the skill set we do have. Even if it breaks them down to role players. Not trying to go backwards, but playing this system starts with a goalie on out. They completely lost training camp - that's what the past 3 months have been. Moving forward... I keep watching that McLaughlin goal in slow motion, starting with Marchand setting up the play. You can't coach that connected vision. They're starting to figure out where each other is on the ice. I see this is a good building block. They'll be going over the highlight. showing the rest of the team how it's done Not just Brad & Marc.
I didn't have a problem with how they brought the fight to the visiting Canucks a few weeks ago in that 2-0 loss. They were engaged, physical and hounded pucks but ran into a hot goalie. It's when they look lackadaisical in giving an effort that looks like they think they can just go half-speed and win like they often did with Montgomery that bugged me. They got smoked in the first two games of this road trip but have come back strong. The Oilers are another strong team they play next. I'm wondering which Bruin team is going to show up for that one. It better be the capable one we've seen for the last two games or McDavid and Draisaitl are going to go nuts. The games against Vancouver and the Flames proved what the B's can do when they're ready to go.

Bruins actually better than they think they are?
Playin' for 60 minutes helps I guess.
Starting to show a bit of grit and a will to win.
Go Bruins.
