I thought they are more useful to navigate the fretboard and give you something to hold on to. I see them as landmarks. I don’t think these YT teachers are saying to only play triads. When I practice them I always play the surrounding scale notes as well, which makes it already more musical. Sidenote: the left handed guitar makes it tricky to follow, so used to see the neck pointing tonthe right 😂
@@tomm5023 you’d be surprised how many people get the wrong idea from this in my experience! I have thought about reversing my footage because of that - may give it a go for the next few 😅
Well put. I think I agree. I've always disliked playing just a triad in a dry way, as a means to making a musical idea. Thanks for sharing. Inspires me to think about alternating between triads and scales to form the ideas in my head.
Hola Ben, I wanted to watch but 3 minutes in and you're still saying the same exact thing. Triads don't sound good, which I already got from the title. It's also pretty rough not even being able to see your face and just watching your hands wiggle around. I hope to see you improve your content.
Very nice and informative
Yessss finally someone said it.. People just go on about Triads like they will solve problems that they are not designed to do
