I’m so glad you mentioned the packaging being loose. Mine are too and it gives it a cheaper feel. The product is stunning but for that price point, it should feel sturdy.

This is random and completely unrelated but I just got the new Nars eyeshadow palette in from this spring launch and I’m pretty sure you’d like it, I love it
I definitely look forward to swatching these! I pretty much use Benefit Cookie or Mac Double Gleam on the daily, so I've been looking for a new highlight. I really want to try both the RB and CT next to each other for sure. I'm not a fan of heavy sparkle or glitter, so I feel like the CT might be right up my alley, and the shade range makes me so happy! Being super fair, I usually don't get many options within new collections.
For anyone wondering, the Rare highlight has 0.098 oz, so a little more than half the size of the Charlotte. This probably doesn’t make a ton of difference for most bc most of us don’t pan highlighters, but the price works out pretty close to the same, if you’re going by quantity. If you like both equally, it’s a factor you might consider. Given that new things come out all the time, though, I’d be more inclined to purchase the smaller quantity
I love the RB highlighter more, but I have had a bad experience with the packaging where the product broke in less than a week of me owning it. ☹️ I was willing to repurchase but had to go with CT instead simply because the RB is always sold out now….

Mine arrived today! Yippee! It’s so pretty and I have yet to apply it to my face but the color is GORGEOUS. The texture reminds me of the one in the Look of Love palette that I loved so much. Very excited!
Another difference between the RB and the new CT is not just the cost but the CT has almost 3x as much product (2.5 grams RB to 7 grams CT). Doing the math led me to grab the CT one (also because I love her highlighters). It’s actually a better deal! 🤷🏻♀️RB’s would be $70 for the same amount! 😮Also I’m in my 40’s and love a more subtle natural glow that’s super smooth.

Featuring these two highlighters, rare beauty and charlotte tilbury, and also the too faced highlighter that’s been popular, the new fenty highlighters, and throw in some other great formula highlighters (nars, in the cheek palettes like the highlighter in the orgas on the beach palette; Natasha denona singles and especially the my dream cheek trio highlighter; and the Dior quad universal glow; maybe sigma twilight? Looks nice! And It's actually very intentional that they made the packaging that way because a lot of these high-end brands have makeup artists in mind who normally pop out their products to condense them into smaller or customizable palettes so the original packaging gets tossed anyway

I am a bit fairer than you are, I'm like an NW20 right now. I ordered Moonlit and Pillow talk. I think Pillow talk will work as a blush topper, or maybe I'll blend it with the Moonlit shade to tone it down a bit. I even considered getting the deepest shade as a glowy bronzer, but I decided against it. I have a problem, I know 😄I can't wait for my order to arrive!
I don't think coverage is something I want in my highlights. I'll go with the rare beauty. Also anyone with mature skin looking for a great highlight that looks seamless and flattering go for Laura Geller french vanilla.
Charlotte Tilbury customer service is atrocious and kept my girlfriend waiting 3 months for the return of her money. After she received 2 completely smashed palettes.
Yea I got a broken palette, they sent me a replacement after many emails and stress, then the replacement also arrived broken. I tried to reach out again and again but never got the second one replaced. 😵💫😞😤
Sorry to hear about your experience. I received someone else's order and not my own, and they mailed me my order (all items were in stock) and said I could keep the other order. It required two touch points but I was pleased with the service during a very busy time.

I didn't notice the texture till you applied the highlighter. I do think it does emphasie skin texture. I haven't noticed that with the balm highlighters
All these highlighters are beautiful but emphasise texture, whether you're young and have acne or other types of scars or you have more mature skin with laugh lines. I prefer adding a liquid illuminating product to my foundation or an Hourglass finishing powder all over my face or areas I'd like to see more luminous. Thank you for your review 🙏
I'm older and love the rare beauty highlighter but I don't love everything from the brand because it is geared towards younger people I think. I do want the CT one but I'm afraid it doesn't get light enough for my skin.

If you’re referring to the clips in her hair in this video, I purchased a set from Ulta by Kitsch. I just checked and they’re called “Eco-Friendly Creaseless Clip Set”. If you search on Ulta’s website they should come up. They aren’t turquoise, but they are the same style.

I prefer a highlighter with a more transparent base and super shiny. So I've been enjoying the Rare Beauty highlighters a lot! These CT ones don't seem worth it. Especially when Bobbi Brown has been killin the highlight game for YEARS and they are still some of my favorites. So beautiful and smooth. Can be natural or super shine.
If you compare the amount of product you get in both the rare beauty (2.8 gramms) and the charlotte tilbury (7 gramms) the rare beauty is actually way more expensive per gramm🤔
Just wanna say that the little star pattern doesn't look juvenile to me. To me, it looks like the star headpiece thing that Hedy Lamar wore in... I forget the name, but one of her most famous movies. I always thought she looked STUNNING in that headpiece, and with the "Hollywood" logo too on there, it just reminds me of her gorgeous, otherworldly appearance there.

I think we need to factor in price per gram though. With CT, you get 7g of product for 48 dollars, but with RB you get 2.8 grams for 25.
