I love using AstraLex, and it can do very well on an old machine, when knowing what to disable in the options. However I never see it mentioned on in many shader lists, this one included, and I have no idea why. If you want I can share my config file, It tweaks both the performance but also some lighting and screen effects.

If you guys are struggling with shaders and have optifine, I recommend installing Sodium and Fabric, My fps with shaders (optifine) was only going around 20 frames per minute and then I installed Sodium and with powerful shaders my fps is going to 104.

Miniature shader is the one that is what I use for a good shader visual with pretty decent fps (I got around 60fps with it on a low end laptop) since my laptop has 2 core 2 threads processor (lower than most game minimum requirement on specs) with amd radeon graphics (integrated and I can't seem to find the exact model)
Cant believe bro got 300-400 fps on one of those shaders and I got 30-70 with my RX 590/Ryzen 7 2700x with 48gb of ram, my render distance was at like 8 chunks

Dude, You could play high end shaders with those specs. I’d recommend a shader called rethinking voxels. It has path tracing and is stunning. I’d also look at bedrock editions rtx shaders as they look amazing.

If you're talking about the files of the shaders, you're not supposed to open them. You open the run app on on your pc, Type: %appdata%/.minecraft/shaderpacks Then drag the zip file to the folder. Open/restart your minecraft.

@@pickboi I’m sorry, but I have to let you know that if you have a low-end PC with these modpacks, it can’t significantly boost your fps and it can only help a little. As always, the best way to improve your gaming experience is to upgrade to a better gaming rig.

if you have the m1 mac or are planning on getting it you can run sildurs lite at 70 fps

How does your GPU Temperature get that high? Mine stays at like 55°C and the usage never goes over 50%
