The lion behavior of holding onto the fawn without hurting it apparently is a bait attempt. It wants the fawn to stay alive so it can call out for its mother, resulting in a much bigger meal.
On a more positive note, I think it's amazing that the dog understands that the fish need water. And the other one using a leash as a rescue rope was brilliant as well. It's awesome how smart dogs can be.

I watched a documentary about a mom lion that lost her cubs to rival males and got super depressed and kidnapped 2 baby antelopes. After the first one starved to death the next one she captured she let the mom feed the baby but wouldn't let the baby leave. I do believe what you said has happen. This is what the animal kingdom does when left to its own devices.
Like in South america, where I lived- if there was a man beating his wife, molesting girls? - they took them out behind the barn to give him taste of his own medicine
      - that's their natural instinct. Protect their women and children. They don't have domestic abuse laws?
We give them counseling and child visitation to make sure they can keep doing damage
Men are afraid to step in to help people out cuz they'll end up getting arrested and prosecuted by some feminazi lawyer.
Look at these animals - they're not micromanaged under a bunch of political baloney.. and they simply do the right thing by instinct

      It's called anthromorphosis.
We do indeed see very real, high level interaction/training with domestic animals and a mother's instincts are universal whether domesticated or wild, but most animals act primarily on instinct. It isn't emotional in the sense we understand that term to mean and it isn't a deliberate "kindness" or "compassion" that humans often perceive it to be.
