I used a package of konnyaku in a Kenchinjiru for some bulk, but these recipe looks more tasty. I will try it out. I am now comfortable with using butter with soy, sake and mirin and it really elevates sauces. I read that it is high in calcium and dietary fiber, which matches the diet I am trying to cook for.

Tried preparing konyakku with your video and I absolutely loved it! Nothing like this in Central America, where my parents are from, that I'm aware of. It's delicious. Nice texture. Especially useful as someone into bodybuilding and who wants to compete in powerlifting, a weight class sport.

ummm, its hard to say what is my most favorite... Karaage, Tempura, Sushi, Sashimi (including filleting fish). Ive pretty much made all my favorite dishes, maybe except for Una-ju, for which I need Unagi, which is quite impossible to find outside of Japan.

but no I haven't looked for it, will try to find it next time im at a large asian market!
to actually prepare Unagi is only for pros, it requires great skill and better eaten in restaurant. therefore most restaurant, where they serve Unagi, they only serve Unagi!
