Its an aspect of nostalgia I think people forget when they use the word. Often times they say it as a placeholder for their past memories which they cherished. But nostalgia isn't just the sweet, its the bittersweet. We love the feeling but it's painful as well.
I really love this version!! The slowed and reverb versions of songs have a sensual side to them but I always thought that there was also a sad undertone added to the songs by slowing them down. Like a strong but secret longing for better days that have long since passed. This one especially gives me that feeling. I can imagine a person dancing to this song openly crying while trying their best to dance the pain and longing away, but also smiling as nostalgia and warm memories replay in their mind.

“I have to executed cause of something I did...I have to dive off of one of the tallest cliffs in the world....I say goodbye to my family and friends....and I go down the cliff screaming (in slow mo) as I’m falling and remembering all the memories I can remember...I don’t even notice I’m floating and I can feel and see the light and the blue sky and clouds above me...I realize....I’m alive?...IM ALIVE!! I fly in circles with joy realizing I’m not in heaven yet...the look on all the executioners faces was surprising..? They all seem to be happy and relaxed.. like I wasn’t supposed to be executed? I wonder why but I was happy either way.. my wings were this beautiful yellow-pinkish gradient. There was a note on my shirt saying “I want to give you another chance. -God” I was so happy! I have wings and another life! I told myself I will never mess up again!

I really love this version!! The slowed and reverb versions of songs have a sensual side to them but I always thought that there was also a sad undertone added to the songs by slowing them down. Like a strong but secret longing for better days that have long since passed. This one especially gives me that feeling. I can imagine a person dancing to this song openly crying while trying their best to dance the pain and longing away, but also smiling as nostalgia and warm memories replay in their mind.
