PAINTING AN ALPINE SLOPE plein air oil painting with Jon Bradham

In this video, I return to the Sunrise Visitor Center area near Mount Rainier (Tahoma) in Washington. I find a lovely spot to paint the an uphill view of an alpine slope. I talk about what I do to avoid startling wildlife and avoiding bear and cougar encounters. I show and discuss my plein air approach, with demonstration of my brushes and palette knifework.

A great bonus on a grey and dank wet New Years Eve! I rather liked the result - a series of abstract shapes which remind me of a renaissance tapestry. You avoided getting trapped in too much detail!
