I don't think I heard you mention it but presumably the job is finished when you see the fresh amber coloured brake fluid in the drain tube?
Also, it would be nice to see you demonstrate a brake line upgrade to steel braided lines on a klr.
    Thanks for great tutorial!

How about start by draining downto the bottom of the resivoir before adding new fluid . less old in the new then chase it out with bleeding.

Fantastically clear and easy to follow tutorial. I'm really curious as to why there was so much air in the rear brake when draining?

There wasn't a lot of air. When the fluid drops down the line, it will create air bubbles in the hose to the drain pan...the air didn't come out of the brake itself.

I didn't have a hose so I just let the brake fluid run out haha

For a bike a hand held bleeder pump would be better .
    Simpler.

Why not dump what was in the reservoir, since it was suspect? It would have been a twist of the wrist towards your drain pan, then you have clean fluid flushing your system. 👍🏼

Then you have to bleed a lot more to get the air out of the line.

@@PartzillaParts gotta disagree with you on that one. There should be no air added to the system if the reservoir on the rear master is kept high when it's dumped.
Binding the front lever overnight lets all the micro bubbles rise to top and when the lever is released, the air gets pushed into the front master cylinder.
Gravity is a wonderful concept! 👍🏼

I was thinking the same thing, except just sucking the reservoir practically dry. No reason air should get in the lines. This keeps you from flusing debris through the system. You Immediately flush in clean fluid.

    Please lead by example.
Brake fluid is highly cancerous, so is engine oil, degreaser and even some tools and parts.
Please always wear gloves, and avoid touching expendables, especially when used, especially brake fluid.
