I always come back to this album. It saved me 3 days ago when I thought I was going to end it. I connect so deeply to the characters in this movie, mainly Neil. It’s so horrible what going through sexual abuse as a child can do to you. I really felt when Neil talked about how no one made him feel that way and that the coach really loved him. It may seem irrational and crazy for anyone who hasn’t had similar thoughts, but when you are told all of these lies and made to do horrible things, you consider that love. It ruins your perceptions of how you should be treated and, for me at least, lead me to seek out men similar to those who abused me all the way until I was an adult, when I ended up in a really dangerous situation with a guy who may have ended up killing me. But this movie made me feel seen in a way I’ve never felt before. I never really opened up to my friends about what happened or what was happening, and maybe if I had I wouldn’t have been put in so many dangerous situations. anyways thanks for reading my rambling sometimes we all need to trauma dump in yt comments cause therapy costs money lol

The mood of this OST is perfect to bring the movie in a perfect suspended world. Between dream and nightmare, sadness and loneliness, like memories fading in time, where several broken fates are crossing each other for a short time.

The transition between Loitering and The Writing on the Wall always gives me goosebumps. Such a powerful score that fits the feeling of the film so well.

이 영화 OST는 뭔가... 악기를 그리 다채롭지 쓰지 않은거 같은데 그 이유가 화면의 비춰지는 사람들은 시간이 지나도 그 존재만큼은 변하지 않아서 일까?
잔잔하면서도 매우 강렬하면서도 몽환적인 감정이 아로새겨지게 음악을 잘 만들었다. 단순한 멜로디 임에도 불구하고... 안애 깊은 상처와 감정이 두근거리는 느낌이 든다.
노래들이 너무 다 다르지도 않으면서 진부하지도 않은. 이 영화는 내 인생 통틀어 가장 강렬하고 아름다우면서도 추악한, 나의 최고의 예술이다.

Came to this video to look for it, but no luck… I think perhaps it’s just another rendition of Crushed by Cocteau Twins since the guitarist of that band co created the soundtrack for this film.

It is possible that my text contains mistakes, because I have a lot to say, unfortunately I felt closer to Brian with my submission and my erased face when I suffered what my younger cousin did on Me. This abuse of me totally changed me, but strangely enough that it lasted a long time, when he stopped I became like Neils looking for a man to submit to. This film showed me that my past changed my way of seeing things and that in reality I was just unconscious. I blame myself. This is where we realize that abuse of this kind changes a person.
