I used to see and hear these all the time in northeast Sacramento County when I was a kid. Sadly, they've been replaced by scrub jays for some time. Hearing their call in this video is quite nostalgic.
+1 to Brooke Miller's comments. I think a series of these for the regular but difficult birds would be great. For example - Rufous-crowned Sparrow, Vaux's Swift, Phainopepla, Tri-colored Blackbird, Rock Wren, Pileated WP, American Dipper, etc.
