We had 110 extra fire engines and crews here shipped and ready back on the 5th, so 2 days ago. We put up a red flag fire alert because we saw the humidity and incoming windstorm, and knew it was incredibly likely in the place that hadn't had a fire in 40 years, and prepared for it, and closed some roads to ensure fire crews would have a clear way to get there. as well, many native plants cannot breed without fire. it's a part of life here, just like hurricanes, tsunamis, or tornadoes other places... but those places' plants don't require it either.

Maybe they've got environmental regulations preventing it? Example at my location: fire department says to clear the underbrush to prevent wildfires, DNR says underbrush is protected habitat and can't be removed, and a citizen environmental group roams the neighborhood looking for environmental clearance violations to sue.
You do everything to prevent these from happening but nothing is 100%. As from the living situation, that is the age old question right? Why live in an area with such..?
@@y6cd3sdzHs1g. We have idiots in charge.
California and the feds have tons of bulls**t regulations that prohibit clearing of excess brush, trees, etc.
Besides, not everyone wants to live in an urban cesspool.
where is the water?
There is none
Pray for the fire fighters and service people
Everyone relax, they're all celebs and millionaires, they can afford another mansion and Mercedes.
This is terrible. But seriously when is California not on fire ?
Heartbreaking! We should remember the people of Gaza who are burning in their tents intentionally by Israel without anyone coming to their rescue.
But that’s a lie isn’t it as you well know.
During a massive windstorm. What a nightmare.
Where are the water dumps? Nothing??
At night? And with 60-70mph gusts? C’mon. Maybe tomorrow AM.
You know I thought that was just me. Where are they? I haven’t seen any water dropping planes all day since this started. They could have put it out by 5pm if they had those planes.
They can’t fly with the high winds. It is far too dangerous.
They had planes and helicopters
Earlier this afternoon I saw on the radar the super scooper was out and about. Hard part is fighting at night and with the winds its really hard to do drops.
What about all the animals?! They matter too.
We reap what they sow. This will only get worse
As an almeda fire survivor I’m praying for all those lost people tonight. Just keep driving! 😢
I wonder how this fire started? How did it all originate?
Another Newsomfire
Dumb statement.
Yep
Some of the absolutely dumbest comments I have ever read on UA-cam exist here. Where are people supposed to live in the history of the world? In a bubble wrapped safety zone? We are seriously in trouble.
Not naturally occurring.
Diddys house and evidence goin burnt lol orchestrated event
With the high winds blowing, putting out the fire does not work. The house needs to be fireproof to survive.
California is either on fire , has earthquakes , mudslides , droughts . All I have to prepare for is hurricanes and you know when there coming
Oh, the dramatics! And most were greatly exaggerated!😊
It's the four seasons of California: Earthquake Season, Flood Season, Drought Season, and Fire season.
@@Qatala-p8tyou watching the wildfire how it’s exaggerated?
We had 110 extra fire engines and crews here shipped and ready back on the 5th, so 2 days ago. We put up a red flag fire alert because we saw the humidity and incoming windstorm, and knew it was incredibly likely in the place that hadn't had a fire in 40 years, and prepared for it, and closed some roads to ensure fire crews would have a clear way to get there. as well, many native plants cannot breed without fire. it's a part of life here, just like hurricanes, tsunamis, or tornadoes other places... but those places' plants don't require it either.
We usually only get snow in New England it's actually one of the safest places in the United States to live.. my brother-in-law is a police officer and his son leaves here and goes out to California and helps fight fires wherever he is needed 💜💫💜💫
How did these fires start?
I see scenes like this in my dreams. In most of the dreams I am with people & we are trying to figure out the best possible route of evacuation. I've never even been in a fire.
Same dude. I also see mud volcanoes/steam volcanoes. It's not pretty.
@@breannathompson9094 a past life
I have been in those fires. Only they weren't a dream.
Coincidence?
Directed Energy Weapons and Lasers?
I sure hope Trump really does bring back institutionalization so I don't have to see these silly DEW comments anymore. Also, yes, I know they exist, and you know that's not the point of my comment.
What caused the fire??
100% Out of Control is a pretty savage title ain't it.
I pray for these people who are going homeless and no place to go. Insurance will deny half the claims.
All these people are fine. They are all rich and they will get help a lot quicker than anyone else.
Please don't move to Idaho folks. Make California great again! Stay safe everyone.
More Californians are coming to Idaho, Texas, and Florida as Californians get taxed to death and awful wildfires, pollution, freezing cold oceans, absurd elec prices, gas prices
Untrained prisoners are fighting this fire. People when there is an evacuation order- GET OUT!
As of right now it’s currently at 11,000 aces and not contained…
But who ignites them ???? it s unbelievable how many fires in California !!!!
80 mph winds knock down power lines
Big Drought there
HOW THIS FIRE STARTED???????????
This SO reminds me of the Gatlinburg fires! Praying for them who.e are and the firefighters!
Why he not asking the big question ???how it started????
is getty villa ok?
We're not sure. Earlier, they said there was a threat!
Exactly!
As of now there have been 5 casualties. R.I.P.
No water in Pacific Palisades fire hydrants ?????????????? Why ?
The trees caught fire while the camera guy was walking on the street. Crazy.
Again! so sorry, love from the uk 😢
Mom, California is on fire again.
What an awful thing . I am sure there won't be any help from the incoming federal administration with trumps vitriol for California.
Lasers are back
Blue Roofs aren't back unfortunately
The progressive, liberal, Democrat lasers?
No such thing. This is normal California fires. Dry and windy, happens every year.
Did you see the bright blue flash after the fire guy started blabbing?
Does anyone know how it started!!!😢
I don't think people understand how dangerous fire tornados really are they need to get every cal fire bomber they can and hit it one after another first light . This could be 5x bigger then the Carr firenato that was a category F 3
This is horrible. I lived in LA and know the areas that are affected. The Santa Ana winds are normally terrible and with the added fire it must seem like Armageddon to those that are living through the fires. Prayers and hugs for all that are hurt by these devastating fires.
Government did this
you bet it did. They accepted trump
