I'm currently trying to do something similar but with that radio(TK 7180) in my car. I have an after-market remote start system that I installed into my car. in order to start it, the lock sense should be pulsed twice. I planned on programming the horn alert option in the radio allowing it to pulse twice, starting my car. But I'm running into the same problem. Our department tones out once, then in less than a minute later they tone out again which will shut my car off. I'm probably not as educated and as technical As You Are but I do know a little about relays and electronics. If you could help me out that would be great. Maybe the names of the relays I need or something
I have the idea about a NC relay that when powered, shuts something off. I could hook it up to the horn alert wire, so that when the ignition turns on it prevents it from pulsing the remote start, keeping it from turning the car off

Do fire stations also have this? I imagine it would make a lot of sense

It's one of a kind, but with the proper parts I'd consider building another.
