The culture of the cowboy 🐴👢 has its origin, in the north of Mexico 🇲🇽 it is necessary to mention that the historical fund is in Chihuahua, Mexico, where the first cowboys emerged, as well as the first original cowboy hats. Cowboy acquired his lifestyle, clothing and work, from the Mexican cowboys who lived in the territory of Texas, in those days, Texas was part of Mexico, before the annexation of the territory to the United States, the US-American Cowboy was born of work of the Mexican cowboys of northern Mexico, who taught it to the US-Americans, the historic US-American cowboy of the late nineteenth century emerged from the cowboy traditions of northern Mexico and became a figure of special importance and legend of US-American Folklore becoming a cultural icon. Although the US-Americans do not admit it out of pride, the cowboy emerged with Mexican 🇲🇽 origins.
How long are your ropes? Where are your ropes made? Is your horn wrapped with a cotton string? (I see something burn off as the first coils slip around the horn?) And are left-handed ropers competitive? As american team ropers, left handers are at a disadvantage because their loop usually collapses. I wonder, too, if inexperienced ropers sometimes get their hands or fingers caught in the coils? Sometime americans cut their fingers off, if they dally incorrectly. Very interesting to watch from an old US calf and steer roper. I'd like to learn all the details of your sport - piales. I'm sorry I don't understand Spanish. I miss so much not understanding the language. Very good videos. Sorry to ask so many questions. I like the way your horses work.
They are usually around 19-21 meters, don’t know what that is in feet. Many places in Mexico are famous for making ropes, i.e. San Miguel Cuyutlan. I don’t know if it’s cotton but yes string, and others like filling it in with very small blocks of wood, (Guayacan, Mesquite). The people in this video are very experienced and unfortunately there have been accidents with fingers, and not necessarily from dallying improperly. If the string/wood was placed too loose or incorrectly, the rope breaking at the dally while the horse is heeled, improperly placing the rope in the left hand or under the left leg. Hope I cleared some doubts and glad you liked México’s Nation Sport.
