Previously I have heard 2 great versions of this song; by Pentangle and by The Young Tradition. This version is now the third great version. The words "Christ receive thy soul" have a great power in this song.

Benjamin Britten set it as part of "Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings" in 1943. Worth a listen - especially with Peter Pears (tenor).
