Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K - Bodhi Tree Surfboards "A Board Builders Passion"

- Опубліковано 17 вер 2024
- When Greg Wallace’s son was three months old he did what any keen surfer and surfboard building dad would do - he built him a nine foot Malibu! Greg is a man who believes in being well and truly ready for the next wave.
Greg started building boards over 10 years ago and loved it so much he decided the only way he could keep doing it was to share it by teaching others to make them.
Bodhi Tree Surfboards are built as ‘functional artpieces’ from locally grown paulownia trees that Greg cuts down and mills himself. The frames are laser-cut to his designs, and people who make their own boards in Greg’s workshops do tend to add a lot of personal touches.
‘An off-the-shelf mass produced foam core board generally only has a two year lifespan’, said Greg. ‘Once that’s over, it can take hundreds to thousands of years for a board to degrade.’ Made from a biodegradable wood, Bodhi Tree boards are however built with longevity in mind, to last and be handed down.

godamn ! the skin tone is just outstanding!!
Absolutely stunning, gorgeous tones in this. Love the grade as well. Beautiful mate!
Hey bro thank you soo much! Really appreciate it! Morgan and I just watched “the silver surfer” what a beautiful story. You camera work is superb!
Look great 100% Cinema material great doc
Just awesome. Wow. So inspiring man.
The dust that flies way as he moves the Jig Saw, totally unplanned, and brilliant. It's the little things NO ONE ever thinks about. People tend to think things like this have no impact no bearing on the look and feel. That is why most aren't as successful as they could be. And the narration, I could listen to this man all day long. You can truly feel the passion. I Loved it
Outstanding
Beautiful! His incredible passion for his craft and sport was told! 👏🏾🙏🏾
Great storytelling. Masterful use of natural light. Yes. More of these, Garth.
Thank you! Lots more of these shorts coming, this is the first of a series of shorts about amazing people from Perth
@@GarthDeBrunoAustin can't wait.
Fantastic cinematography. Wonderful colors and tones. The music perfectly set the mood and gave a level of respect to the story being told.
VFX Todd wow thank you! Really appreciate it
Great opening; you set the pace for the viewer - by the time the fade finished I realised I was in professional storytelling hands.
This inspires me so much. This is the kind of thing that I really want to do. Shorts like these, and maybe even full blown documentaries. Thanks for this masterpiece!
Beautiful work as always man! Really really enjoyed this! (this is about the 10th time I've watched this haha)
Love the grading! Awesome job!
Beautifully filmed Garth, you’ve made this look so organic which really elevates the connection you get. Also got to say that pull back shot from 3:02 is off the charts!
Amazing job man, as always!
Matteo Bertoli Visuals Thank you soo much bro!! Will send you the video and some high res stills soon 👌
Garth De Bruno Austin appreciate it man! All natural light? That place was like the perfect location!

So beautiful man, the lighting in those scenes are just amazing.
There are 4 people who hate themselves.
Excellent feature, mate!
Awesome stuff!
this is great!! the footage from the BMPCC is really crispy!
Nicely done! :)
Hey that's my dad
Awesome! Are you going to do a review of the 6K camera? It seems to work with the 4K flawlessly!
tm4tare oh yea gonna do the review in the next week or so.
It works so perfectly with the 4K, I use both cameras on almost every job now
Absolutely gorgeous. I'm particularly curious about the blend of the PCC 4k and 6k, any challenges (if any?) you might have encountered using both in the same production/post/color grading, and approximately how much of this lovely footage was shot on one or the other camera. I ask because, uh... well, I'm going to have to do the same thing very soon. Thanks so much for sharing. And yeah - those are stunningly beautiful surfboards too. (shoutout from Malibu California)
So wich one do You prefer 6k or 4k and why? Are there many differences in image quality? What about ir polution on both?
Love the footage ! The sound is great also!
By the way did you use any ND? if so, how did you have to use IR cut also?
I am planning on buying a P6k and as I want to use black pro mist most of the time, I am afraid that stacking ND+IRcut+Bpromist will severly affect the image quality..
Love this... Your grade and camera work are flawless...
What song is this?
amazing color! what was your grading process for this?
Nice, the camera still emotes muted highlight info
:) Beautiful
When will you release Disunity? 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you! Hopefully soon, In the middle of getting distribution, much longer process than we thought.
Garth De Bruno Austin 😀👏🏼 wish you good luck with that!
Hello! Is it inferior in dynamic range Blackmagic Design Pocket 6K
the camera UMPro ???
It has slightly less dynamic range than the UMPro but it’s still incredible that it has 13 stops of DM 👌
@@GarthDeBrunoAustin
Thanks for the answer! What do you think Blackmagic URSAMini Pro gives 15St in CinemaDNG RAW or 15S can be obtained in Blackmagic RAW and in what compression ???
