It’s like English was built for him to make fun of.
This! 😂
You're a fan!😂
Ismo explaining English words from a Webster dictionary.... I JUST LOVE IT!
Knowing Ismo a little, I am honestly disappointed there were no sausages in the trunk.
Kariste Makkara
He's from LA. People in San Francisco have sausages in the trunk.
How do you know? Maybe there was. How long do you think they last in Ismo's hands? :)
He opened the trunk, saw the sausages, went quiet for a while, and the sausages were gone.
Maybe he was thinking which word tricks he coukd do about the contains of the box, maybe he did a magic trick.
- but the sausages disppeared for some reason. Maybe they evaporated when he opened the trunk.
Of course there were no sausages in the trunk... He's a vegan, who occasionally eats lots of sausages. That's why they're not in the trunk: he's eaten them!
Nah but there is junk in the trunk 😊
He missed the opportunity to call the trunk a "chest" and tie that back to the human body :)
hahahah that's brilliant! Man I do love the English language, so quirky and random! :D
Superb way of teaching English words. Amazingly amazing. :)
Booting a computer comes from bootstrapping, which comes from the actual boot, pulling yourself up from the bootstraps.
Well, that doesn't help any better than Ismo's shaking booty😊
And rebooting is restarting. The first start is booting. 😏
I love ISMO and his English explaining and jokes
I didn't know my everyday thoughts could be stand-up comedy material. This is basically how I have been pondering my acquired languages over many years.
It's not only what you say, but how you say it.. ;)
Oh, man! This is my new favorite thing!
This is nothing like what I thought it would be, now I remember why I subscribed
I laughed so much! Love it!
Did anyone else think that, "Shake that booty" means something completly different!😁
Most ones did... Why did you think he mentioned it? :)
Haha! Funny guy. Love it. Watching from the Philippines.
Well played Merriam Webster! I wondered why I was subscribed to your channel and I was ready to leave the building... Then I watched the content featuring Ismo
I'm still subscribed and, somehow, I feel smarter ;)
This is actually informative. I have been studying English for years now and am studying in University, but I actually found this information useful when mentioned together. Much appriciated
sorry English is so ridiculous!
Excellent video guys 😊😊😊
Seriously, English (especially American English) is so unnecessarily complicated. Thanks, ISMO, for making light of this weird subject. More videos, please. :)
Another funny video fron you, buddy! You are the best! ❤
George Carlin would have loved ISMO, brilliant
Genius :D
A thousand episodes please
To BOOT a computer is to Start it. Restart of a computer is REBOOT.
Rebooting means "to boot again", not that we should have to explain that to someone watching a Merriam-Webster video of course. So rebooting is, by definition, booting. Don't take my word for it...
A "butt dial" means you accidentally called them on the phone, A "booty call" mean, to call a "friend with benefits" and well.... you know do things.
ISMO you are "The shit" of comedy and I am not shitting you.
Omg Merriam Webster posted this 😂
hahahahaha YES ISMO!!!
Wait a minute from now on you are my new English teacher im serious
1:58 Shake that booty. Still laughing.
I love this funny ass shit! :P
That wooden box was not big enough to be a trunk.
I've heard in Canada "a boot" means "about" :P
Americans claim this all the time. It's rubbish. Listen closely. It's 'a boat'
Junk In The Trunk because of course ISMO went there without going there lol
Amazing English teacher....
He should also say... And if you have a phone, then you can do booty call.
🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha
wLol! I never realized how complicated the word 'trunk' could be. 😄
lol
🤣
Upload idioms of the day. Upload more videos regarding vocabulary.
Thanks for the suggestion!
One day, when humans get sick of being separated by a common language, we will invent a new language, and in that language every single word will be unique, and no word will ever have a second meaning. And in this way, we will finally learn to communicate with each other properly.
I am absolutely positive this will happen eventually, and there is precedent: King Sejong of Korea invented modern Korean and hangul, all by himself!
And he did an amazing job, too!
Mind matters.
Mind the words that matter.
Mind, uhm, WITH, matter!
hi is genius 😅😅😅
Reboot the computer, Ismo! Do you have a brother who's single?😁
I want to know all that
Trunk is it not Bonnet as well now on electrics of Cars called EFront Trunkette?
Sorry to speak the real un polluted UK Mother tongue that is a bit colorful and controversially yours temporarily in Texas
Interesting story, look up how "booting a computer" came about.
Nice, now you are teaching us good English
Wonder how many people watched this and thought it was about money in boxes.
Wait, what?
Shake the Boody.)))
Booty as in booty calls also 😁
No shit
All true but not so funny
Make Finland great again. So pathetic to see a Finn paying a tribute to English as if there was no one else to do that in the UK or in the US&A
