Holy shit. I almost cried watching this review. Awesome work man. I own a Oneplus 12 and I don't think I will update to 13. I'm happy being with it almost for a year now.
I'm sorry man, I know that your tests are 100% scientific and all, but you're the ONLY reviewer in the entire world saying that the battery took a step backwards. EVERYONE is saying that this phone has the absolute best battery life, and that it's a huge step forward compared to the OnePlus 12 (which I own and love). I just don't understand how this is possible. I usually take your opinions and considerations pretty “religiously” I'd say, but here it's just way too different from what anyone else says
No worries, you're more than entitled to you thoughts on that when it comes to the battery life but like I said I will be doing a follow up with test very soon against the OnePlus 12, Find X8 Pro, Magic 7 Pro
There is a reason why the authors' tests get worse battery life; it is due to the chip, based on Oryon architecture. Unlike Apple Silicon, when it is pushed hard, it has diminishing returns for efficiency. The exact same can be said of its predecessor, the Snapdragon X Elite. So, if you do tests as this reviewer did, battery life is not as expected. But if you have light use, then similar to the X Elite, battery life will be great. So, for most people, SOT will be better than the OP12, but although it is still good for power users, it fails to live up to the 30% greater capacity over the iPhone 16PM by a huge margin.
@LoverOfTec You need to use your brain and ask yourself why your results contradict everyone else's? I suspect it's you being deliberately contrarian to attract views. There's another UA-camr doing the same thing about this phone. It doesn't work and counts against your credibility if you don't have convincing arguments.
Bro I thought I was the only person. But the design on the 12 looks WAY better to me and they made the 13 look to much like the 12R in my opinion. Still an absolute monster though
@@Gotuschool The camera is still excellent, to me it's on par with other flagship,I see other videos comparing them to other phones and yes it really did stand out that the OnePlus cameras are excellent
He makes a very very very good point. How does this phone have 1000 more mah than prior phones and the battery life has not improved drastically.. thats odd.
Incredibly artistic video. I must say I was considering buying the OP 12 over the OP 13 this whole week. The 12 is just sexier. It's a head turner, both are. I love the camera island. It's has so much character and life compared to like the blocky robotic frame of the S24 Ultra. And I was really split between the 12 and 13 because the reviews on both were good. In the end I picked the OP 13, not because of any of it's many merits, but because as I was checking the different sites for the best deal I saw that my internet provider went mad apparently. Because these dudes were offering that if you specifically pre-order the OnePlus 13 16GB RAM 512GB version from them, they'd throw in a OnePlus Watch 2R for free. And I'm not gonna say no to a decent 200 euro smart watch for free.
Mad respect for your filming style I just ordered the 13 max spec artic dawn trading in my op 12 so i'm getting the 13 for 476 dollars with the magsafe black sandstone case. 5th generation of oneplus I've had in a row starting from 9 pro starting with the 11 I've felt op slowly crafting into a matured and growing brand and seeing it first hand has been awesome. Keep it going bro.

Such fantastic insights bro!! On paper, this phone is out of this world; in fact, even in real life, it's a monster, but still there's just something....and I can't put my finger on it. A quick example is display - it is next level, and highly rated by Displaymate as we know, but for some reason I still find myself preferring the S24U display, even under direct sunlight, despite that 4,500nits!! I am sharing my take on this tomorrow morning either way. It is a top tier phone tho, I still love it - OnePlus is really coming out swinging. Fantastic video as always brother!! Your are killing - keep at it 👊🏾
Couldn't have said it better my bro and I can't wait for your video to drop when it comes to your thoughts on the OnePlus 13. I still believe it will be one of the phones to beat in 2025 especially for that starting price of £899/$899. It's just surprising just how good the OnePlus 12 still is
I have been tempted to try the OnePlus, but that off-center circular camera housing prevents me from doing so. It is time that OnePlus centered the camera like Oppo and Vivo.
@BrtoLopz thats really shouldn't be the reason to not try a OnePlus device and considering the £899/$899 price, it's a hard phone to beat this OnePlus 13
I got the OnePlus 12 and I was at first tempted to upgrade to the 13. You are right, the 12 has a unique character to it, a swag 😎, the battery life is already superb, the cameras are a huge step up compared the the 11, everything is great. I just don't see the need to upgrade. Happy with the 12
as someone who has a 13, sometimes the batterys super great, but other times, its more along the lines of a slightly souped up s24 or 23 ultra. still, it has the best battery life ive ever encountered here in the states. far more then my 15 pro max. maybe even on par with my old 13 pro max. its power and battery life were my main things.
I think it looks awesome. My issues are purely software aesthetics. Why are they still giving us an outdated lock screen media player that’s still from Android 12 and also no vertical scrolling when picking widgets again, that’s from way back in Android 12 as well. Other than those 2 nit pics I’m loving it.
I have the Oppo Find X8, not the pro, and it only has one periscope camera, 3X zoom, but the zoom ranges are better than my pixel 9 Pro with 5X periscope zoom camera. The same 3X zoom periscope camera is the one on the OnePlus so I don't see why it can't work
@@LoverOfTech thanks for reply! Ultrasonic fps is a big deal? My last phone had ultrasonic fps as well so I m not sure if optical will be a downgrade now. I also like X8 pro better but I'm not sure really.
If it was me I'd go with the OnePlus because it's going to perform better with the snapdragon 8 elite compared to the Dimensity 9400. Also as you said Oppo doesn't have the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor as the OnePlus does. I think oppo only would win just in the camera, but it's not that much big of a difference as if you were to get the Oppo Find X 8 ultra for just camera Wise.

I have vivo x200pro, iphone16 pro max and oneplus13. OP13 has the worst battery life of the 3. Look, it is very good but it's not extraordinary. I was expected more from the big battery. I guess it all depends on how you use the phone, especially on screen brightness.
excellent video story telling, okay the reason why it's A+++, is the Aqua touch Plus like you can have grease and so on your finger, The gloves touch and plus the pixel structure it's not the same as any other AMOLED or OLED and it's stronger and tougher than Victor's 2,the display it's different
The actual flagship killer is the R series. The mainline series is just a great deal flagship. People need to stop with the "flagship killer" nonsense. It hasn't been that for more than half a decade at this point.
