The Lie of Original Sin

One of the first things I learned growing up in the Christian tradition was the doctrine of original sin. Original sin is the idea that human beings are born inherently sinful and separated from God.
However, although I was indoctrinated to believe in original sin and told that this belief was essentially a prerequisite to being Christian, it honestly never really sat well with me. I remember holding my youngest sister for the first time in the hospital and thinking how there is no way in the world this innocent newborn baby is inherently sinful, evil at the core, and disconnected from God.
Years later, I started reevaluating and rethinking some of the core tenets of my Evangelical faith, and original sin was one of the first ones I examined. What I learned about the origin and history of this doctrine shocked me and caused me to completely change my mind about everything I was taught to believe about it.
In my latest video, I explain how the main story that has been used to support original sin actually shows it to be completely false when we take a closer look at the underlying message of the story.

It is absurd!! If we really believed children were born utterly sinful we would never have children!
When you study the bible you do not see Original Sin, that is a man made doctrine, like accepting Christ as your personal Savior or being saved by faith alone. So, how does that make the bible not reliable? The problem is people do not study the bible, they simply listen to what men tell them to believe, hence you have confusion and denominations. The bible doesn't contradict, it is men's teaching that contradict the bible.

By yielding to the tempter Adam and Eve committed a personal sin, but this sin affected the human nature that they would then transmit in a fallen state. It is a sin which will be transmitted by propagation to all mankind, that is by the transmission of a human nature deprived of original holiness and justice. And that is why original sin is called "sin", only in an analogical sense. It is a sin "contracted" and not committed, a state and not an act.

I DON'T AGREE WITH ORIGINAL SIN. I WILL SAY IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE BOOK OF ENOCH ABOUT THE ANGELS. I WILL SAY SOME HAVE A NATURALLY REBELLIOUS NATURE. THIS IS BECAUSE THE BLOOD OF REBELLIOUS ANGELS ARE WITHIN SOME OF US. THE ANGELS WERE REBELLIOUS AGAINST GOD. THAT DOESN'T EQUATE TO EVIL BUT REBELLIOUS.
I've heard that "mystery Babylon" is basically man born of woman in the flesh. Our sin nature is associated with the flesh, which makes sense. ❤
Logan this was a total ditto for Roy and I. This is such a huge common denominator for so many people, but most are fearful due to losing family, friends etc. Opening one’s eyes to things such as separation, ego and even Augustine’s translation, we’re so obvious of one not living in the Tree Of Life or even researching these things. We can’t say enough to you of picking up the torch of truth and helping all of our brothers and sisters in Christ to get with the spirit and be free of so many bondage ways. As a newborn, we are the purest Spirit of the true Creator of the Universe. He is not the god of Western World Legions.

Thank you so much! I just found your channel. I was radically saved out of new age, but was very open and vulnerable and was pulled into ECT and original sin. My first few months walking with Jesus were honestly a nightmare. I was constantly worried, anxious, and believed that God saw me and everyone around me as scum. I was literally living in torment day and night being the only believer around me. Thankfully God answered my prayers and showed me truth! I came to Christian Universalism! And I’m learning about original sin. I’d like to understand more of why Jesus actually died on the cross. God loves everyone so deep that we will never understand until we are fully reunited with Him ❤. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for providing an alternative interpretation of Adam and Eve. It never made sense to me as a literal story. I feel like most of the Bible makes more sense when you have a less literal interpretation.

No one is born guilty if an original sin but we all sin at some point. There is no one that is immune to the fallen nature of man.
