This is amazing information. I like it a lot. I always thought talking to a friend would be good but now I understand the difference between the two and it makes a lot of sense. Thank you so much

my therapist asks me open ended questions all the time and some of them are so deep and make me think TOO MUCH so i distract her so i don’t need to talk about it and then she’s like wait you didn’t answer the question lol

Hello, I found you on tik-tok. I'm a Marine and want to try therapy. ive wanted to try it long before I joined the military but now I have the resources to get it. My worry is that I have no idea what to do if I go. I don't talk to people really so I feel like I'd show up and just sit in a room with alot of awkward silence and wasted time. I don't even know where I'd start or what to talk about. I just know that I'm constantly fighting my brain with everything I do. Any suggestions?

Hey there! So it’s common to feel this way on your first few sessions but the therapists are trained to ask the right questions to help you open up and ignite out what you want to work on. I would recommend finding a few things that are bothering you and write them down, things you want to work on. And then when you go there let the therapist know. Best advice I can give you is to find someone you connect with! Because if you don’t trust them or connect, you won’t feel safe to open up. Xoxo

hi. i have a friend that i’m worried about but she refuses to talk to an adult about it. she can’t open up to her parents for many reasons and she talks to me about it which i’m ok with but i know i can’t help her like someone that got a degree in it. with the stuff she’s dealing with i can’t help her a whole lot. i’ve tried to get her to talk to someone at our school but she refuses and now with the lock down she really can’t talk to anyone. i don’t know how to help with the stuff she comes to me for other then telling her how much i love and other things i’ve learned work for her. do you have any tips for me for helping her right now while we’re on lock down and she can’t/won’t talk to a counselor or therapist?

It is interesting to learn the way therapy changes the brain. It makes sense 🤔
Could you make a video focusing on teenagers?
