Hi.
I've owned this Tiger Sport 660 since Nov'22 & used to commute weekly Melaka -JB- Melaka. So far I got NO BIG ISSUE riding it. Yes, I strongly agreed with the reviews and I noticed those additional accessories came with optional which is the good thing you may choose to buy & install it at your own preference. Some of it we may not really need hence no need to put extra cost. However, to me the USB or charging port is a must nowadays & I installed it DIY. There is a socket ready to be connected, so easy installation. This Tiger Sport 660 is having the basic electronic features & not complecated, easy to use. As for the cruise control, I do not really need it so it is not an issue.
The power output, to me it is sufficient for a mid-range bike. Infact, I found it so economical for town & long distance riding but having a good powerful torque. I've tried touching the speed 195kmh with my full luggage in the standard Tiger Sport 660 panniers & top box, it is running stable.
Of course we can't compare with the bigger cc engine bikes (above 1000cc bikes) but there are some advantages on this Tiger Sport to suit your riding tastes. I've owned a GTR1400 before (for 10 years) and I am not feeling regret downgraded to this Tiger 660cc, much more nimble. Servicing mileage is far better, 15,000km.
My conclusion, I really enjoy this TRIUMPH Tiger Sport 660. Economical. Easy maintenance. Buying the complete panniers & top box gives advantages.

I don’t think the performance can be compared to a MT-09? The MT-09 performance is closer to a 1 Litre motorcycle.....getting on the motorcycle with panniers is easy if you put your foot on the foot peg first then putting your other leg over.

As much as I love the Triumph, I'll stick to something more practical
