The sliver opponent played his deck wrong. I actually made that deck a little over a week ago. Always make sure to have an untap land on turn 5 to get combo off early. The colossus is just a distraction. The real kill is to get 10 gates into play and kill with maze.

The funny thing is, the way the guy in match 5 hovered over olivia after lvd returned her from the graveyard, it's pretty likely he actually was trying to heartless act her and failed, proving again LVD's uncanny foretelling prowess.
In the sliver/colossus match moraug was lethal, don't attack with it just use landfall:xtra combat. Attack with fliers. :) I first had to look up if it has "attacks each turn if able" 😉

Gotta love the big bad red black discard reanimator deck. It's just got all the fun synergies. Probably my favorite way to reanimate besides mixing in grixis for some of that fun. Been stuck on tryna build a self mill styled reanimator deck for a while. Think the synergies aren't there in golgari/abzan yet
Talking about Killer Queen... Its just me, or Doom Whisperer is kinda look like one famous iteration of Killer Queen from one bizzare manga-anime? (especially its face... And there is also so many hands...)
I've been wanting to build that Trickery Colossus combo brawl deck for a while, but haven't been able to draft Colossus yet. So happy to see it here for the first time. The wait must be annoying, but the Timmy in me sings with joy to see it.
I’m loving these brawl decks LVD. Have you made one with Tovolar yet? Gruul wolves is my favorite deck the last few months, but it’s trash in standard right now. Hopefully it can do better here.

At 14:13 your opponent missed lethal! By pumping the sure shot and swinging all out! With the afflict 3 from the eternal, it would have finally given the keyword some use!
Can just take the attack from Neheb so Afflict doesn't trigger and block the other creatures. Seems like they couldn't empty their hand to enable their commander.
@@LegenVD I was actually wondering about not blocking Neheb anyway, double blocking the Sureshot, and block the trampler with your big guy. Would've only dropped to 6 and not 2. I guess this way you get the unblockable damage off the board...and more importantly have a clear win anyway so whatever :)
I'm quite confused here at 15:14. Why not killing Naheb instead? you gain the same amount of life and Naheb seems like a more threatening creature. What am I missing?
That first sliver opponent had such a weird deck. It's basically a 3 cards deck that requires an opponent who didn't win before he plays his turn 5 and who didn't draw any form of counterspell or removal by then, all while doing absolutely nothing, and they still might've won against your super well thought-out deck on a decent draw if it wasn't for the incredible value you got from Doom Whisperer.
Question: In Match 3, although Maraug doesn't guarantee the win, doesn't it present a "choose your own poison" scenario? With Zagras on the battlefield, Maraug has Deathtouch. So, if they havent any more wincons, they would have to chump to avoid losing to it. In the end, Doom Whisperer carried hard, but that was something bugging my mind for the time.
Someone else mentioned being able to attack with our team without sending Moraug, which also could've worked. The opponent likely had Maze's End as another win condition besides colossus.
Besides the color requirement the main problem is the creature being removed from the graveyard, making you unable to bring it back with a different reanimation effect.
be honest, how often did you encounter BojukaBog and BojukaBog-esk abilities in making this video??? after watching this, i prepare for more reanimator in play qeue now xD
I know this choice is probably reserved for patreons. Regardless, please make a historic Tiamat Brawl deck. I think only you can make one that is good. I've tried many times and failed..
The first sliver version of the colossus deck doesn't seem as good to me as the old stickfingers version. The stickfingers version pops off on turn 4 or 5 without worrying about 5 color mana and not having the cascade restriction let's you play back up win conditions like banefire and torment of hailfire

Demonic Tutor into Fabled Passage was so clever.
For some reason I enjoyed the 3rd match the elevator music was relaxing and the top deck card to make the opponent sacrifice his colossus was amazing.
I feel so bad for the opponent though, like that's just painful going through all that just for a 2 mana removal spell to destroy it...
