CFD in the Water Industry: Mixing & dispersion analysis

CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulation and analysis of the dispersion of a tracer in stirred tanks reactors.
A three phase modeling was used in this simulation: Water, air and tracer.
With transient CFD (time dependent fluid simulation) it is possible to study physical phenomena in real time. In this case, we get a much deeper understanding of the convective dispersion patterns of the tracer over time through a system of hydraulic connected mixing tanks.
