I'm a Starbucks manager with dyspraxia and yesterday, A Thing fell out of the machine. Today, with about three hours work and this wonderful video, I was able to take the whole thing apart, identify it as the curtain and reinstall it. I would never have been able to do that if it wasn't for this incredibly helpful guide. Thank you so much- I really, really appreciate it.
You sir, are our hero, 600 people in our camp, 95 degree weather, only ice machine technician in our area has covid, and your super clear and simple to follow video has saved the day, keep up the good work, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. Ice machine decided to do a forced clean cycle an entire month early yesterday & I couldn't figure out how to put the Big Thing back in correctly in the middle of a rush 😭
Hello again. I would like to know if you could share the troubleshooting manual for that machine. I am a refrigeration technician, but I can't find the fault manual. Thanks in advance.
Luis - the faults are listed on the side panel. You can also get them from Iceomatic.com. If it’s a newer machine you can also scan the QR code on the machine
Adjust the arm (that makes clicking noise) to a different setting opposite of where it is now. It will adjust how thick the "Ice bridge" is between the cube and result in thicker ice cube. Keep in mind the thicker you go the harder it is to break apart when it does the ice.
My water trough is stuck on the right. Any idea how to get it loose? Edit: figured it out. I didn't know the ice machine just sat on a hole. The top was misaligned, I moved it over and it came right out
The part that makes the ice is a box that sits on top of another bigger box that holds the ice. The top box was placed too far to one side so the trough was just banging up against the top of the bottom box instead of sliding through the hold of the bottom box.@@qiguo1917
@@AnUnapologeticApologist where do these units loose water from ? I have one that’s going into premature harvest I can see water leaking from both sides of the evaporator in to the bin 🤔
Once the unit is in "clean" mode, it must finish the clean and purge cycle (usually about 30 mins) - here is a link to the written cleaning procedures that will show you how to return the machine to run after the cycle. www.iceomatic.com/getattachment/servicesupport/Cleaning-CIM.pdf?lang=en-US
The water guides on the side of the evaporator were a huge mistake. They snap off and the "caulk" solution with the new curtain doesn't even really help. Every single cim I've ever worked on had water loss, causing early harvest. A moving float was a bad idea. They get gunked up and stop working all together. They are easy to diagnose and very tech friendly, but man do they have a ton of issues with the float switch and water loss.
@@AnUnapologeticApologist Yeah, good point on the water loss, haven't seen a single one that didn't have scale or growth build up in the pan from the leaking.

Mine is making thin hallow ice cube. What should I do?
do you ever find mice nesting in th upper left just next to the water trauf?
Sir why this rotating water coming on the ice both side
What can I do to make my ice thick

Seems to be pressed too tightly to the white part. Or maybe the metal rail beneath on the right.
Hi, I'm also having this same issue, can you elaborate on how you solve the problem?
The part that makes the ice is a box that sits on top of another bigger box that holds the ice. The top box was placed too far to one side so the trough was just banging up against the top of the bottom box instead of sliding through the hold of the bottom box.@@qiguo1917
So why would the float be disassembled? What problems would occur and you didn't explain how to adjust anything or why adjustment was even required.
Hello sir my ice machine red indicator and fast bip, any advice?
Min freeze/ harvest. Bet your losing water. It's always the same problem with these things.

These machines are absolute trash. SO cheaply made
