Sasan Gir is a wildlife sanctuary and a forest located near Talala Gir in Gujarat. This forested, hilly, 1412-sq-km sanctuary about halfway between Veraval and Junagadh is the last refuge of the Asiatic lion (Panthera leopersica). The park lies 43 km north-east of Somnath, 60 km south-west of Amreli and 65 km south-east of Junagadh.
Taking a safari through the thick, undisturbed forests is a joy - even without the added excitement of spotting lions, other wildlife and myriad bird species. Access to the sanctuary is by safari permit only, bookable in advance online.

𝐌𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 & 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧- Spotting a Lion is a matter for luck and we were not that much lucky. We just spotted lion footprints and we were told that we missed 2 lions fight by just few minutes.
It was a Dense Forest so spotting a lion isn't that easy and also depends a lot on route allocated to you.
Our route also gave us the chance to see Kamleshwar Dam and beautiful sunset. I must have to admit that this would always remain like a lifetime memory. I would suggest that you can book both morning and eve 3-6pm tour.
I feel that Rs. 3400/- is extremely high price for three adults per trip and that too with no guarantee of spotting any animals or birds.
We didn’t spot a single lion. Only Deer and Peacocks we saw. Same happened to all visitors during our slot timing and also in the morning slot timings as well.
Overall, Not worth the hype and money.

Yeah indeed it was a wonderful jungle safari but unfortunately we didn't spot a single Lion and nobody did on that particular day when we visited😌that's why we went for Devalia Park Safari to see lions and leopards especially ✌️
