  • Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, many of my dear friends have had shows, tours, and project cancelled. This is a huge hit to those who depend on this work for a living. To this end, I'll be highlighting many of my friends over the coming months, and if you like what you hear, I urge you to buy their music, contribute to their projects, and take online lessons from them (links below)! Thank you for supporting our musical community!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Liz and Dan Faiella bring to life the traditional music of their roots, with crisp vocals, mesmerizing fingerstyle guitar, lyrical fiddling, and exhilarating rhythmic drive. Their music calls to mind the convivial grange hall contradances of their youth in New Hampshire, while conveying a wistfulness for their ancestral Ireland. Liz and Dan have taken the mainstage at premier folk venues throughout New England, including Club Passim, the Acadia Trad Festival, Maine Celtic Celebration, Little Sea Folk Festival, the Seacoast Irish Festival, and the Boston Celtic Music Festival. They are sought-after teachers, sharing their craft with students at camps, festivals, and community music schools. Their debut album, At Long Last (2018), explores heartache, wonder, and joy, expressed through the traditional music they love.
    One blessing from the pandemic is this video where I was introduced to Liz. A short time later I pulled out my violin had it repaired and have been following her and her lessons on Patreon for a year.
    It has impacted my life in many ways along with Baron's lessons. Thank you both.
    I’ve always played this at bluegrass jams. Even though I always thought so, I never considered had Irish roots.
    Liz, were you classically trained in the violin?? There is something “extra” there ❤️
    Your fiddle style reminds me of Eliza Carthy. Was she an influence?
      @@MandoLessons what’s the best way to learn this style of guitar accompaniment? I know your in Dadgad, but I need to familiarise myself with the chord grips and inversions in this tuning. You seem to have it down fairly effortlessly! For someone who’s played blues, rock, and pop for 20 years where do you suggest I start to learn this stuff?
      Cheers, sounds great 👍
