Really love this version of the classic. And holy shit you're good at sliding away from the bridge.

One of many tunes that came over to America from Scotland/Ireland.

"Sometimes simply called Frosty Morning and was written to commemorate the battle of Culloden Moor from the morning of April 16, 1746, during which the English Army massacred a Scottish army of 7000 men, ending the Jacobite Rebellion in Scotland." // The Scots had to yet again "bend the knee" on that Cold and Frosty Morning.

your right hand technique reminds me Sammy bush, moe from the elbow than the wrist, sounds great.

Thanks! I used to play from the wrist a lot more, but over time found that playing with more arm suited me better. Thanks for watching!!

Doc Watson's fast hard driving flat picking guitar work comes mainly from the elbow.

Great! I love the mandoline...realy would like to play myself but i think my hands/fingers are too big 😂

Haha! I get that. My fingers are actually super long, perhaps I’d make a better pianist than mandolin player.. but mando is the best! ;) 👍

Misconception is that large fingers prohibit hood mando playing. Many of the greats have huge hands. The fingers can be trained no matter the size.
