My budget is zero. This economy is horrible. My husband hasn’t had a job for 4 months. I’m a nurse supporting a family of 4 with two teenage boys I have to feed. I’ll live vicariously through you all.

Love your recommendations; however this year I am stepping out; this last couple of years I have buying classic pieces for replacements; I also organized my closet and was so surprised to see just how much I have some with tags still on it so heaven knows when I bought it; this summer and springs I am wearing everything I have before I buy so I can see what I love or what I don't want or it just does not look good; I have a to go bag in my closet so if I put something on and its a no it go directly into the bag; I am not going through the bag again and second guess myself again; Hopefully at the end of the year I have a closet with just my really love pieces.

REVISED COMMENT-- After I posted that "Nordstrom isn't what it used to be, and I can't justify the prices", I remembered that I hadn't shopped there for a while. With a dose of humility and an open mind, I checked out Marnie's recommendations and have 3 things I really need and want in my cart. You would think so, but any video I make that focuses on men’s products absolutely tanks. I think a lot of it has to do with what men are generally ok with splurging on and what they’ll just grab off Amazon. I can’t even get my husband to shop at Nordstrom for anything except golf shirts!

I have used the Dyson V15 vacuum cleaner with stand for the past 4 years and I love it! Great price with the sale discount.
Good to know! That stand is what really pushed me to add it to my wish list. We don't have any wall space to hang the charger so it just leans up against the wall and usually falls over.

I have 5 or 6 of the Rails button downs, and no matter how carefully I wash them on cold and hang them to dry, they always eventually shrink on me. I can’t decide if it’s worth the risk to buy a large and shrink it on purpose because of it doesn’t fit right after shrinking, I can’t return it.

I have one from earlier. It runs big like all the other Caslon pieces but it’s very soft. I recommend sizing down one.
I don't have that one, but knit blazers rock. They are incredibly comfortable.

I used to get booked for informal modeling and trunk shows at Nordstrom, great memories! Currently there is one within walking distance, but I rarely go. I may check out a few needed and classic pieces, but it’s not what it used to be, and I can't justify the prices. I love the way you mix high and low items. Finally medically stable, Im having fun rebuilding my wardrobe with vintage pieces-- including some from my mother and some from decades old me.

Nevertheless occurred to me to try Nordstrom for a wool jacket in plus size. I haven’t seen a wool coat in years. This jacket is the nicest looking I’ve seen in a couple years. There’s a good chance it’s a buy

115 degrees here in Scottsdale, AZ, so thinking about fall/winter clothes is hard to imagine. I am also sad that Nordstrom does not have many options for petites.
I love all the coats but living in Austin I can't justify more coats. I don't think I had a coat on last winter at all.

I smile every time I use my Dyson vacuum that I bought several years ago during the Nsale. It's a game changer especially if you live with a shedding animal. Do not buy the cheaper Dyson models. They just don't work as well.

I have had a Dyson V12 Detect Slim vacuum for over 2 years now. It is wonderful, but I love that the 15 model which you are getting has a longer run time and bigger cannister. Plus, this is the lowest price I've seen anywhere. Dyson cordless vacuums are a game changer, especially for women's bodies. You will not regret getting one.
I have the V8 and we love it, but I would love a bigger canister, longer run time AND the laser light!

I’ve been disappointed with the Nordstrom anniversary sale the past few years. 🙁. I got a Nordstrom debit card back when they had that option. They don’t anymore! But it counts for early access which is good. I just wish my local Nordstrom had more items. I prefer to see items in person. The brick and mortar stores are getting smaller and fewer.
You are missing out on some great finds-sadly all the major retailers have less in stores and more online, but Nordstrom has a great return policy so that helps!

If you want to wear the belt at both your waist and with mid rise jeans, and just add some extra holes to the longer length belt, how long should the belt be in total? I think I saw you recommend doing this in the past. Thanks!
I honestly don't know-all I did was find a belt that fit around my upper hips/on my jeans and then had more holes punched so I could also wear it at my natural waist.
I would love to see a closet tour!!
I'm not planning on doing a closet tour because my closet isn't like a "normal" person's closet. It's basically the same as a retail store's back room.

I’m from the PNWest (where Nordys started & I worked there for many years in cosmetics) and I remember sales where STYLE was at the forefront and they set trends with the sale offerings. This catalog I received was clever in the marketing and boring on the products. Take Marnie’s advice and spend only to your budget of which mine is near zero for above reason.
