i think theres something, deep within human genes; the sounds of drums causes all sorts of reactions, excitment, fear, peace. its a very powerful noise.
I believe our connection with the drumbeat stems right back to the womb when our mothers heartbeat is the first constant sound/vibration in our life and when you are born your own heartbeat thumps loudly and rings in your ears when you are in a state of excitement or beats evenly and peacefully when you are calm. The drumbeat is the heartbeat and it's something that everyone can connect to no matter what race or religion you come from because we all share that much at least as human beings.
Such mastery and precision of the Shamisen player, such finesse, feel, strength and endurance of the drummer. No words can describe how amazing this performance is.
You are my hero, Ei-tetsu! My life got richer thanks to you. Our emotions, in this world full of lies, find their save exit, thanks to you. I wish I had discovered you earlier in my life. World wouldn't need all these overpriced psychologists if you were known for all who need you. You are such a treasure, Mr Ei-tetsu Hayashi. Thank you for all emotions you provide to us.
It is this kind of music that has inspired the Samurais, the Kamikazes, the Yakuzas, and the leaders of the Japan's industrial giants. It's the fighting spirit that unites all of them. All my respect for this great nation

like a tsunami rising from the depths of our inner most parts of our souls, rising and rising.like the very primal essence of nature.

Wardrums, my genes from my ancestor fighting in war must have resonated greatly.
Try 2x playback speed once.....one time

What Shamisen? Wrong video?

A beautiful balance in power vs. control from the powerful waves of thunder to the soft tapping of rain.
This is a great recording. I can feel the drum resonating in my room. Very clear! Thank you for posting.Domo Arigatou Gozaimasu!
one of my favourites, thanks for posting this, absolutely mesmerising
Freaking awesome! No doubt Japan has some of the best musicians/artists in the world! This is just amazing.
Flame of the Sea! Another beautiful, apt title ❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍👏👏👏
This really is the most masculine thing on the internet. Just the best. Who are they?
Ein Hochgenuss, allen Respekt für Eitetsu Hayashi! Könnte wohl keiner besser machen!
Great music, i enjoyed very much every second of this performance, truly fantastic sound
Tried playing it at 2x, his beats were so fast that there was no sensible difference.
Ohh 😮 what a great drummer🙏
Japanese Drump Master Ei Tetsu Hayashi
my dream of listening live
HELLO TURKEY.
Wonderful and excellent performance. Very entertaining to watch and to listen. Thank you.
Just edging, no climax. So frustrating yet so beautiful
Not all battles end in a glorious flash.
hayashi san is amazing !
Better than anything Hans Zimmer comes up with or hollywood comes up with when it comes to drums.
strong shoulder and arms; much stamina
DAMN THIS IS GOOD STUFF !
brilliant sound....
Thanks, powerfull to the end..love it !

It's in the title of the video. Umi no Honou. Translates roughly to sea of flames I think.

The answer is no, I guess.

Is this all scripted and memorized, or is it spontaneous like jazz? Just curious. I'm new to this.
This name, Ei-tetsu, is this comparable to "Eternal Iron"? or is this too liberal of a transliteration?
