- In this video I pick back up on a old project to get the blown seals replaced on my 35 ton log splitter that has a speeco 5" hydraulic cylinder on it. Do not attempt the same methods at home! - Barn Built Fabrications

Thanks so much for posting this video. I have the same splitter and it started leaking a couple months ago. I just ordered the seals and am sure the job will be much easier with your insights. Well done, very much appreciated.
Great video, I have a 35 ton Dirty Hands Tools (no longer in business) and it looks the same as the county line one. Will be replacing the seals on mine this week and this was a big help since I have never done it before.
Awesome video man!!! I’m just a good ole country boy with not much extra money. So… I have to try and fix things myself. I watch A LOT of UA-cam videos just like this one to help me and it makes things A LOT easier!! Again, thank you for taking time to make a video. Now I guess I gotta go buy me a tractor to pull that piston outta that cylinder!! Lol I’m probably going to try a come-a-long first. If that doesn’t work I’ll go shopping for a tractor!
I hear ya man same thing here. Try the come along and if that doesn't work it seems like a great excuse to buy a tractor to me!
You can put the seals in a bowl of water and microwave them for about 15 seconds to soften them up a bit.
This is a great idea that I will be sure to use in the future. Thank you!
It's one of the best informative u tube videos.
Do you have seal kit # by chance
I am glad you found the video helpful! The kit I used was from Amazon. I will attach the link in the description.
Do you have a link for the kit?
This is where I got it on Amazon a.co/d/c3K6iXk
Why didnt he just use a come along
His come along was broken and the ratchet strap handles were bending before the cylinder would pull out.
