I think it's nice to American girl tries to be respectful about the cultures that they are talking about. I wish this video would have been a little bit longer though cuz it's fun to hear about the process of how they make the dolls. As an adult doll collector and it is wonderful did a little girl can see herself. Kaya was one of my first American Girl dolls.
Man I remember when I was a kid, I wanted her the most! I thought she was so beautiful and elegant. But my parents never bought her for me, I was so heartbroken. I only had Molly and Addy 😭
I would love to see a indigenous girl of the year. And make it modern what I mean by modern as into days indigenous girls. Not all of them wear the “typical” indigenous outfit every day. Some have little hints of their indigenous roots by what they add to their face or necklace little hint of meaning and they were regular clothes
I love how they really went, And ask people from these cultures. I honestly think that this is really interesting and I wish there was more videos about the process behind it. I know a lot of people will be interested, I wish they put the same effort into their girl of the years and diversify it. It’s annoying how it’s kinda reoccurring for them to be a dancer…

I always thought the historical characters were much better than the ones you could make look like yourself. I love their stories. ❤️
